The Mariners used a position player Torrens to pitch the 10th! And he won!

It was against the Tigers, so I think a portion of a win is acceptable.

I'll never understand playoff baseball timeslots. Who is actually watching all four games that would require this schedule? Sure, have an early slot and a late slot, but play two at 5 or 6pm EST and two at 7 or 8pm EST and you'd probably bring in more people because they can actually watch the games.

A noon EST start is just silly (especially on a Friday).

Don't people love simultaneous games? 1pm NFL window, first round of the march madness etc...

i think it hurts betting and fantasy. Who wants to set a lineup and track it for 13 hours?

Am I nuts, or does that Oakland stadium actually look like a pretty fun place to watch a game?

It is, to a degree.
Con: it’s usually mostly empty. Large amount of foul ground. The building is crap.
Pro: the fans are having fun and are really into it!

Also easy to get to from BART. Went to a bunch of games there during law school.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

idk...i might be an outlier but in no way do i want simultaneous playoff games; i'll watch every minute of every game if i can.

I remember back in 1992? when MLB came up with something called "The Baseball Network" IIRC and they put the LCS games on at the same time and I know i wasn't the only one apoplectic about it.

Yeah, fans of a specific team will always complain but if they’re trying to pull in fans of other teams or casual fans, you need to just have as much of the day covered as possible. Kinda like the NCAA tourney.

Legit great job on that "photoshop". A lesser craftsman would have compressed Judge's head beyond all recognition trying to fit it to Altuve's tiny torso.
