Am I right in thinking that this comment deserves a response of WTF in 64 point font?
Wasn't that in response to a specific question about whether he authorized the particular mission?
Yeah, that's a very out-of-context characterization. Trump was just saying he didn't authorize that particular mission, but he is aware there are troops/operations going in Niger and elsewhere in Africa.

The family has received few details about the conditions of the shelter where Rosa Maria is being held. The shelter’s staff had been expecting her when she arrived and promised a smooth transition but did not have copies of Rosa Maria’s hospital discharge papers or access to her medical history, Gonzalez said.

Flynn has to be the overwhelming favorite to be the person charged, right? Ever since if was reported months ago that Mueller had rejected Flynn's cooperation offer, charges against him have seemed inevitable. The question is if Trump reacts by immediately pardoning Flynn or trying to fire Mueller.
Trump pardoning either of them would be the end of his presidency. The GOP would have almost no choice but to impeach at that point.
Yea, ok. It's nice to think about, but despite months and months and months of connecting the dots between Trump and Russia all it took was a Clinton lawyer to have given money for opposition research and the right goes "Hillary has been in contact with Russia! Not Trump!"
I'm following the details and I hope Mueller rips the head of Washington, but the only feelings I have is that these people die suddenly like Scalia.

I wanna be pretty clear here. If Trump pre-emptively starts pardoning these guys and the GOP does nothing then it’s time to legitimately start looking to escape the United States.

The GOP does nothing.
Kung Fu movies are like porn. There's 1 on 1, then 2 on 1, then a group scene..
If Hillary Clinton has the acting chops, I think she does and if not Kate McKinnon, there needs to be a 'shadow president' skit where she's manipulating everything within the Trump administration.
And she needs to satirize literally everything being stated about her and Russia and everything else. And there has to be some scary 'evil villain' shit that confirms the paranoia of the Republicans.

The scary thing is that all the usual media suspects (Fox News, Wall Street Journal, NY Post) are now calling for Mueller's ouster or resignation. And I agree that if Trump did that, there would likely be no consequences from this Congress.

Hillary needs to quietly walk off into the sunset. Every time she opens her mouth or makes a public appearance, it turns negative attention from Trump to her. The RW media and Trump diehards will all attack Hillary no matter what, but herm appearances anger a large number on the Left and most of the Center. The Dems need a new face for the Party. Not just a leading contender for Presidential nominee or a dynamic person to become the voice of the Party, but an overhaul on the image of the Party. People don't like the Dem Party. The Right, the Center and the Left. Few people like Pelosi, or Harry Reid. The problem is the pull between people who want to shift the Party Left, and those who want to move to the Center to pull in Centrist Republicans. The anti-Trump Republicans are never going to vote for the status quo Dems, and the more they shift to the Right to grad votes, the further Right the GOP moves, and claims the newly Center positions of the Dems are radical Left Wing lunacy, despite the positions being identical to the GOP positions 10 years prior. But, the powerful people in the Dem Party don't want to lose power, so nothing will change.

I agree with all of this. I would also add that the idea the Democratic Party can win over any significant number of "Centrist Republicans" by moving right is futile. If those voters were ever going to abandon the GOP, it would have happened when Donald Fucking Trump was the GOP nominee. The Democratic Party needs to do two things to win elections: (1) find candidates or policies that actually excite people and inspire them to vote; and (2) fight GOP voter suppression efforts tooth and nail.

Perhaps she looks in the mirror and sees the face of the resistance? Maybe the fact that wherever she goes she gets paid?
And a 76 year old man is not going to be much of a "new face" by 2020.

It wouldn't be difficult for a much younger candidate to embrace Sanders' economic policies, while also being better on foreign policy, which has never been a high priority area for him. But for so long, Democratic politicians have believed that fundraising requires making nice with big money donors, which naturally leads to watered down economic policies that fail to adequately address the scope of inequality in this country. The whole "Bernie Bro" garbage was a transparent attempt by the DNC and Clinton wing of the party, which has embraced big money politics for decades, to portray Sanders' attempts to target economic inequality as in tension with gender and racial equality. Which of course is totally bullshit, and goes a long way to explaining the unpopularity of the Democratic Party with the American Left.

So what's this Scaramucci thing? This is like the 10th time during this campaign/administration I see everyone talking about a story because it's common knowledge, but no regular news outlets discussing it because it's not fit for public discourse.
Who has two thumbs and got to give technical support to the "Mooch" today?
Imagine having your head so far up your ass that you actually enjoy making pro Trump comments to a bunch of guys who hate you.
Oh well. Small minded people choose their heroes and there's nothing you can say to change their minds. I believe the Kremlin called them "Useful idiots."
