Political consultants must be among the greatest con men in the world. Their ability to convince unloved rich guys that the people are crying out for them is amazing.

Super excited for CommuterGate or JerseyGate or whatever they decide to name it whenever the whole "Adams actually lives in Fort Lee" hits full mainstream attention.

Peak Dunning-Kruger shit. You know there was atleast one advisor who was telling him it was an awful idea to no avail.

I had no idea what that meant, but it's next level antisemitism because Jewish people have "dark beady eyes" and the punk co-host mentioned something about "to see if you have a soul."

Like, my God. The anti Jewish undertones are the mainline of conservative thought while they always act like their Judeo-Christian bubble is under attack.

If there are two things I hate more than anything, they are 1) Jews and 2) anyone that even thinks about doing anything harmful to sweet, sweet Israel.

Gotta keep the Jews in power to fan the flames of war in order to bring on the biblical End of Days so Jesus can return. It's right there in Revelations!

You would think they'd get him off of any meaningful committees, considering how potentially compromised his ethics are.

But yeah, watching General Mark Tilley set the record straight was a thing of beauty.

So, my take after sleeping on this for a day:

The last, true vestige of Republicans' power hungry desires is to control the military.

They have the courts. They have the gerrymandered House. They will impart their will in the Senate and get rid of the filibuster immediately when it suits them.

But they cannot have the military unless they have their guy in there who can appoint all the cabinet members.

Those feral hogs that tried to overrun the Capitol on January 6th weren't armed. And that was the best 'militia' that could be mustered. Trump fired everyone in positions of power after he lost to ensure there was as big a delay as possible. January 6th was an inside job.

If they have control of the military then everything goes smoothly and the coup won't have to be bloody unless the feral hogs decide it so.

Look at the conservatives going batshit over Milley's words today. And these people 'support the troops?' Sure. Just like they 'back the blue.'

I've always wondered how blue lives don't matter when if a guy shoots a cop 200 miles away, my phone explodes with a blue alert and the entire resources of a county are deployed to find the shooter.

Very cute of there being bipartisanship on this infrastructure bill as if the first thing the Republicans do when taking back the house in 2022 isn't to impeach Biden.

I think we will now see Impeachment as being a regular part of political theatre in D.C. It's going to become completely devoid of any meaning at all.

A random ass fishing account that I follow on IG (I don't even fish, but it's interesting what they catch) has DJTJ chilling with them catching huge groupers.

Nice to see that he's enjoying freedom instead of the inside of a prison cell. Yay, America.

Remember that he's running for Senate?

Inside Gun-Surrendering Criminal Mark McCloskey's Very Sad St. Louis Rally
Noted local criminal Mark McCloskey played host to a barbecue/political rally on Sunday afternoon, drawing tens of admirers to the sweltering parking lot of a closed outlet mall in St. Louis County to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the time he pulled a gun on a crowd of people who otherwise would never have noticed or cared he existed.

Despite the fact that none of the big names who had been billed to speak at the June 27 event showed up, and despite the fact that ticket sales were so dismal attendance was opened to the public for free at the last minute, St. Louis' most gun-surrendering lawyer plowed right ahead with the First Annual Pink Shirt Guy BBQ and RINO Roast in the St. Louis Mills parking lot.

Those pictures make me so happy to see an asshole like that can't build a following. I thought the author of the article was being snarky calling it the "First Annual Pink Shirt Guy BBQ and Rino Roast," but no:

I didn't get the rhino/RINO thing right away, and thought they were doing an endangered species eating club thing like The Freshman.

This looks like a Trumper party:
