It was. Officiating has already been tilted towards NYR, not sure if they can do much more.

Poor Timo! That was brutal.

That's what I'm thinking. Whether it's legal or not, you don't want that hit in the league.

Modern day Stevens where it’s clearly predatory and dangerous but you can squint and read the rulebook and call it ok.

If you consider a playoff series win to be equivalent to an NFL playoffs win (which seems fair) the Golden Knights now have more playoff wins in 6 years to the Detroit Lions 90 years (7 to 6 after beating Winnipeg).

Kind of scary to think how good this Edmonton team would be with even average goaltending.

It's easy to find love for teams not in your conference, but...

I've been loosely following the Avs, Knights and Kraken when not hyperfocused on the Caps.

So, fun post season.

Draisaitl and McDavid for only $21M a year is such a ridiculous bargain.

Pavelski and Draisaitl each score four goals for their teams, and both teams lose. Crazy.

I know I posted this earlier but he’s clearly a coach who gets things going in the right direction but can’t take the next step. His entire plan against NJ once they started to skate and force us outside was “yell louder and shuffle the forward lines”. But fuck Quenneville. Hopefully the NHL stops Dolan from seeing a kindred spirit.

Could take the opposite approach and say “the NHL is biased and only letting a very good hockey coach come back from horrific shit because it’s (a smiled upon team)”. At which point a penguins fan would be perfect to respond.

I don’t know why the NHL doesn’t do this live. When shit like this happens of course some people think it’s rigged.

Weekes is just a terrible broadcaster but the NHL gets what it pays for.

And because it's anti-climatic to draw only twice live? And something would go wrong live, it's the NHL. They don't get access to David Beckham hand picking balls.

The one thing you can say for the VGK goalie room is there isn’t a lot of space from 1 to 4.

QOD: will the wheel of justice land on Pietrangelo half as hard as that machete-chop to Draisaitl?

(what an asshole, jfc. literal intent to injure / take out of the series. Meanwhile Ron Hextall is off somewhere slamming down a Scotch and nodding at the tv...)

Graves got 3 games like three decades ago and that was against the 2nd biggest star in the game and his slash was successful. Given the series is tied, Pietrangelo is a name player without a history and the NHL believes doing their job is the same thing as deciding the outcome, I'd say its one or none. It should be the playoffs because there's absolutely no way around his intent, whether premeditated or spur of the moment.

No, its definitely more upsetting to know who these people are. One is a housewife, one is some cake guy who I think had a show, one is from Jersey Shore, one seemed Italian so I imagine Bayonne ...
