Without the help of the Google Machine, I would have never figured out that the white dude in the Snoop Dogg Corona ad with Vince Carter, Devin Booker, and Sue Bird was Christian Laettner.

The commercial with the fucking SUV in the middle of a kids' concert drives me bonkers. So this lady parked her car in the middle of the orchestra, dressed up, and then closes all the windows and takes a nap? wtf?

What can't current LeBron tell past HS LeBron everything? And do basketball players call the NBA, the League?

What's the deal with the Jesus commercials during the tournament? Did Jesus really need to up his brand recognition?

Only targeted to areas where people pay money to choker schools.

Even more reason to find the big man, and they don't mean Chet Holmgren.

Saw the Willie Nelson Skechers commercial and laughed out loud.
Regardless of whatever I said in that other thread, Willie would definitely be in my top five of artists to hang out with.

How is it that Reggie Bush is considered enough of a current celebrity that he was chosen to do Wendy’s’ commercials?

He’s also in the Dr. Pepper as with the other Heisman winners. Not that he wasn’t the best college player of 2005, but don’t the Heisman people have a complaint with Dr. Pepper since they took his award away?

Danny DeVito is an absolute national treasure and Jersey Mikes is probably the best national sandwich chain so I approve.

I think wlu wasn't questioning Devito as a great, but is questioning the Jersey Mike's part of brian's post...

The DeVito part is unquestionable and the sandwich part is debatable but yeah...there's no great national sandwich chains really. Potbelly isn't even close to national IMO, Subway is crap obviously and Jimmy John's is meh and supports killing endangered animals.

Schlotzsky's

Never heard of capriotti's. But I actually do think Jersey Mikes is the best. And I agree that potbelly isn't national, but I will choose them over Jersey Mike's.

Probably should figure out what qualifies as a national chain, as Firehouse is the only one of those with over 1,000 restaurants (Potbelly looks second at 474). But, hey, when you're the the only place specializing in fulfilling the market's need for soggy sandwiches, you grow...
Quizno's has dropped from 4,700 US locations to 176. If they were good, this might not have happened. Capriotti's has 112 locations.
Jersey Mike's is the champion of national sandwich chains by being better than Subway and Jimmy John's.

The mention of Quiznos completely disqualifies wlu-lax's answer. Or maybe he just likes damp meat.

D'Angelo probably doesn't qualify either but I'd sooner that. Quiznos is bad. Sooner jimmy John's than Jersey Mike's. Not that high on schlotskys either. Them and Quiznos both suffer from poor labor putting too much goop on sandwiches. Potbelly's puts weird carrots and cauliflower on sandwiches randomly. Panera has also suffered from menu creep and over Goopy employees. Which Wich not good generally. Not bad but not good. Less fresh subway but more care probably. Firehouse is solid but meatball subs only for me and high standard for meatball subs vs some Italian guy.

I've never had Jersey Mike's (irony!) but if they're sub-Wawa I'm probably just going to keep it that way. Ordering a sub chain over a local place seems about as dumb as doing that with pizza.

without looking it up - (and I used Restaurant business for this) - what are the 10 largest US sandwich shops as measured by total sales in 2019? (picked last pre-Covid year)
(I have dropped Arby's and Portillo's and zoe's kitchen from that list as i consider them not to be "sandwich shops" in the same sense as Jersey Mike's etc)
We will make this a collective group effort swampcrash. Go. You can answer multiple times.
