I've been doing a rewatch of Breaking Bad. Into season 3 now and god damn this show is still so good.
Since I originally watched BB, I've also watched all of The Sopranos and The Wire. Of those three, that are often compared, I'd still have BB first, then The Wire and a pretty big gap before The Sopranos.

I need to rewatch BB while reading fan sites there was so much I missed. I’m sure I saw it here many years ago, but there’s a website that analyzed scenes based on what color shirt characters were wearing. And Vince Carter confirmed that it was intentional, and he was shocked people caught all of the subtle shit they threw in.

No wonder pruitt hated that show.

I haven’t had a guilty pleasure show in a long time, but our friend we are staying with here in Michigan has been watching Younger and I’m kinda hooked. I don’t know why and I’m not proud of it, but here we are.

Vince Carter?
(I think you mean Vince Gilligan)

I've started watching "What We Do In The Shadows" while eating lunch or doing stuff in the kitchen. Not sure why I didn't watch it earlier...its pretty damn funny, with a lot of people from other stuff I enjoy. And Matt Berry as Lazlo is fantastic. The "Jackie Daytona" episode is so good.
ETA: Forgot to mention that the energy Vampire, Colin Robinson, is a great character.

The episode where he meets another energy vampire played by Vanessa Bayer is amazing.

Ha, guess I conflated Vince Gilligan and Chris Carter from their X-Files partnership.

I was intrigued when I saw that Marin Scorsese has a docudrama tv series airing. But, as soon as I saw that it is streaming on Fox Nation - well, I’m never going to to see it.

Surviving Black Hawk Down on Netflix is interesting. Read Black Hawk Down and watched the movie, but this covers interviews.witg folks who were in the fight and Somalis who lived in the area and fought against the U.S.

It would have been nice to see more detailed follow up on the interviewed participants...what they have been doing since and more detail about how it affected them and what they are doing or not doing to address the PTSD

Agree, it would've been great to see more on how those folks are coping with PTSD and what their lives are like now. And after all that heavy stuff, expensive whiskey definitely feels more fitting than beer or wine

We watched the Questlove documentary about the music on SNL last night. It was pretty good...definitely worth checking out. The part about Kanye just going off the deep end during the "good night" part of an episode was bizarre. As was seeng Guiliani (fuckhead) and Bernie Kerik (convicted felon/fuckhead) for the first episode after 9/11 opener.
We really liked the "music in sketches" stuff...and agreed that the best was the "Punk Band reunites at daughter's wedding" one. That was hilarious.
I commented afterwards that it probably just reflects where SNL is in the culture, and on the state of the musiic business in general, but it is a LONG PATH from having Captain Beefheart or Sun Ra to Billie Eilish or Taylor Swift as musical guests.

After watching the most recent episode of "Severance", I had the thought that I hope the show runners have a plan for how things are going to resolve at the end. I'm starting to worry about it becoming too much like "Lost"....all these layers and layers of stuff/details....not really paying off at the end.

The creators have specifically mentioned they do not ^want this to become another Lost that suffered bloat and intentionally dragged things out. There’s a ton going on, but IMO every scene has a purpose
I get why he did but can’t believe he let Sofia live.
And are we to assume he didn’t off Eve because he doesn’t actually care enough about her?
Anyway that was pretty great. The get up that Farrell was buried under was amazing. As was the casting of young Oz. The accents were too much sometimes but the similarities between the kid and Oz costume were great

I was all excited to start watching Robert DeNiro in the series, 'Zero Day' on Netflix (tomorrow), until I watched the preview.
I don't need to watch an all too possible worse version of the reality we're currently suffering through. Maybe I'll change my mind once it gets some reviews written about it, but no. I'll step aside on this one for now.

Eh, it seems like the people in that movie are pushing back on an overreaching government. Not at all like our current reality.
BTW, that same feeling is why I've never been able to watch that Civil War movie. It seemed too plausible then and WAY too plausible now.

Same here, I really wanted to see it and forgot. Now I can't watch. It was funny seeing posts from MAGAts about that movie, saying it showed the danger of "fascistic Dems" and what would happen if they didn't stand up to Biden.

Who controls the levers isn't particularly relevant to me as it's the same toxic currency.

Not sure what they did for Reacher in the past (I too just started watching this winter) but I think for most other shows Prime releases 2 or 3 episodes to start and then goes weekly after that.

I bailed out on "Landman"...Billy Bob was great, but I couldn't stomach anymore of the Ali Larter/Smokeshow teenaged daughter story lines.
So I'm now watching "Day of the Jackel" when I'm riding my windtrainer. And so far, its pretty good. But I don't know...there's some things that make me thing that people just aren't that smart.
The Irish lady who's getting squeezed by the MI-6 agent for information about her brother-in-law, the gun maker...doesn't think to have a burner phone? Or delete the text thread where she takes a picture of her husband's phone with the guy's phone number? Seriously?

Yeah... I enjoyed the show but it isn't airtight and definitely relied on people (including Redmayne's character) doing dumb things occasionally.
Three episodes in, and this has the potential to be one of the best shows I've watched in a long time.
We watched the pilot last night and... yeah, it's been in my head all day. If I was on a solo weekend, I'd probably binge right through it.
Great concept and executed very well in Ep1.
Sorry, Paradise or Reacher?

Oh, yeah, that was super confusing.
Paradise.
(And I've watched 3 or 4 episodes of Reacher and it's... fine, better than fine. But it gets a little repetitive pretty quickly, IMO.)

Awesome, thanks.
We've watched both Reacher seasons and I know we'll watch this new one. But I'd like to see if I can sell my wife on some Paradise before we do.

Paradise has been renewed for a second season, so no worries about a lack of resolution anytime soon.
Though I feel like the timespan available for relevant flashbacks is a lot smaller than was the case in This Is Us (same show creator) so not sure if that will hit a wall at some point.
