.501 team slugging % is the highest SLG % in baseball history.

2nd and 3rd place are the 2019 Astros and Twins, but you can toss those in the dumpster since MLB used a juiced ball. 4th place is the roided up 2003 Red Sox, so toss that aside as well. 5th is the 2019 Yankees - which again, juiced ball. 6th and 7th place are the ‘27 and ‘30 Yankees at .488.

Basically, the Braves are setting a record that is currently 13 points higher than the ‘27 Yankees. Gun to head they’ve got an elaborate system down there.

Jasson Dominguez becomes the first Yankee lefty under the age of 30 to hit two HRs in a series since Lou Gehrig.

Or Maris? He hit 61 home runs but didn’t hit two in the same series?

That can’t be right. No lefty under 30 hit two homers in one game?

Edit: just a quick look at Maris’s home run log shows he hit 3 HRs in 2 days against KC in 1960. He was 25.

He was obviouisly kidding, but for fun I just looked it up:

In 1987, Yankees’ 27 year old 3B (LH bat) Mike Pagliarulo hit multiple home runs in six different series.

Stellar analysis here. Easy to get six hits in a row when you put five of them in the seats and not giving the defense a chance.

Reds helping out Houston by beating Seattle back to back nights with a series of AA pitchers coming up to cover 3/5 of the starting rotation having Covid and one of the two non-covid SPs with a toe injury. You are welcome.

NO! And I would have thought one in order. But, if you did, then that counts as a thank you to me too per Council of Aarons by-laws...

Only in a set of three or less (legally speaking).

Feels like a "have a catch" or "play catch" question.

Can’t help but wonder how different this season would have been with a full year of an OF on pace for >100 HRs per 162.

For jumping off bridges?

I don't know if I would have phrased that the same as giff, but I certainly apply "take a" to a lot of actions, like walks or naps or looks or swims...

I guess it only looked weird in that context? I was going to give an example where it was equally superfluous but came up with "I'm going to take a shit" rather than "I'm going to shit" and its basically the same thing except that one's normal to me.
