First episode was outstanding and riveting. Second I found a bit boring and dragged on. Some good moments. Third episode was very well done but difficult to watch. Fourth was heartbreaking. And like you said, the way it's shot is so fucking cool. I love the glide from one room to another. It feels like a documentary, but somehow more real. Still well worth watching it, but not something you will watch twice.

We liked the first two episodes even if the kid's arrest was major overkill. Yes, we're going to send 28 police vans full of armed cops, but nah, you don't need handcuffs or anything like that.

The last episode just felt like so much dialogue that was irrelevant to the plot.

I guess I was just expecting a twist. Didn't they say that they had to move once before, and it seemed to be in regard to what those kids spraypainted on the dad's van but then never really touched on it again?

My simple boy theory is that the people who have died in the past 2 seasons don't have any characters that care about them. The only ones who might fit here are Gaitok (depending on what you think Mook thinks of him), the actress (distant marriage, friends all hate each other), maybe Uncle Rico or Chloe (but Chloe might care about him and Chelsea probably counts for her) or Fabien (fits perfectly but might be too minor a role, too close to season 1). So I don't know! What's amazing is they took Jennifer Coolidge out and found an even better "every quote is quotable" actress in Parker Posey. We've been walking around the house using her voice non-stop.

I'm actually way more interested in who the shooter is than the victim. I feel like the bullet isn't going to be for whom it's intended anyway due to the chaotic nature of all that. Gaitok has the gun and Jason Isaac wants the gun back so that likely rules both of them out.

Of course it's entirely possible that the shooting thing was all a diversion and the death is completely unrelated.

Not as excited by the very small tack-on at the end to tease season two, which the network announced after the last episode aired. Story was wrapped up pretty neatly.

We watched the Elton John/Brandi Carlile special last night on regular old CBS. I think its available now on Paramount+. Its really good, and worth checking out.

But...we have gotten so spoiled by watching everything on streaming or DVR. So many commercials! And so many for prescription drugs, especially the Ozempic priority. We were wondering about the casting calls that went out for "slightly overweight" actors.

Funny thing, looking at my DVR, the most recent thing in my queue is 3 years old. I record Arsenal and NFL games and that’s about it. Nobody else in my family even uses the TV. Yet my wife won’t let me cancel cable.

The premise reminds me of my sister's best friend who found out her husband was in big money trouble and had been stealing stuff from their neighbors and friend's houses. She only found this out after he was arrested for murdering his father who wouldn't give him any more money.

Agree with everyone on the show. I had no idea she was Crasnton's kid, but she is a really good actress. I wasn't going to watch it, but so many friends raving I gave it a shot. Everyone said it's just ER set in Pittsburgh, but it's not. I like how it's set in real time, like 24. Sure, they are seeing a months worth of shit in the first 4 or 5 hours so far, but it's not supposed to be real. Speaking of real:
[+] spoiler
I just saw the episode where the old guy dies with his son and daughter in the room. It was so fucking realistic, it was spooky. When his breathing pattern changed and the doctor explained it, man, it was spot on. I was just texting about it with my sister because it was so similar to us holding my father's hands as he died. And the brother and sister on the show weren't close, but brought together by the dad dying. And man, when the doctor said they are now a primary relationship as they are the only ones who hold each others memories... fuck.
Only problem, how could I go to bed after that? Had to watch a bunch of SNL and Portlandia skits on SamsungTV and stayed up much later than I wanted to.

Gore doesn't bother me when it's violence in movies, but medical gore sometimes gets me. And this show tends to zoom in on some really gross shit. I find myself turning away when they insert a wire into someone's heart, or inject directly into a wound or crack a bloody dislocated and broken ankle into place. I don't know how anyone does that job.

Yeah, I could totally see this type of scenario playing out with the Potomac Country Club set. So many fake friendships and so many over-leveraged finance bros running around.
