Cute, but no way that kid gets laid on his prom night.

I don't know. Have you seen the stuff Holly Sonders wears on the air? I wouldn't be so sure.

Migod! Slut shaming!

(Student of mine shot a documentary about this subject, so I am now enlightened)

Yeah, that was kind of the joke. I wouldn't make the same one on Facebook for example. But since there's no chicks here and probably never any risk of one, well....

There aren't many events as pointless as the Women's British Open. It's so cold the girls are all covered up. Toques in August!

Tiger now leading the gotdang Greater Greensboro Open. I never imagined I would find that fact interesting, but here we are.

Tiger's losing his aura. His playing partner just made an ACE.

His 1st title there is old enough to go out drinking with him to celebrate. Is that a record?

Apparently it is the third biggest gap between first win and latest win. Longest may be Sam Snead, who won his last at the same Tournament!

Let's see how smart I am ... does that mean this is a short(er), tricky course with danger all over?

Yup. They play it at par 70, but the par fives they turn into fours are still much shorter than the ones you see on majors.

It's a really old course, with limited availability to lenghten it. Lots of Par 4s under 440 yards.

I just happened to flip over when he tripled. It was a stunning and depressing thing to see. He skulled one of his hosel and flew the green on a fairly easy chip. He's on the downslope and his next chip falls well short. His next chip goes past the hole a good 10 feet or so, and I think he three putted from there.

It was something that I would be embarrassed to card, and I play about once a year at this point.

By then he was too pissed off to play as the lead was too far ahead. Tiger's never been able to chase, even at his peak. All 14 majors he won, he lead after 54. The talking heads always say 'look out for Tiger he's lurking and if he gets on a roll, he could lap the field." But it's never happened.

One of his faults has always been he's too hard on himself when behind.

It seems to have come to this. Tiger is more likely to win the "Corporate Name" Open in some obscure place with many of the world's top golfers not entered, than he ever is to win a Major, The Players or a World Golf event anymore.

Yeah, dudes winning majors after their age 35 season isn't super common. I think even Nicklaus won only two or three majors after age 35.

It just seemed like Tiger would be different. He ate right. He worked out and stayed in shape. The other PGA golfers feared him. I, for one, thought that would lead to a prolonged competitive career, well into his 40's.

The International team has won only 1 of the previous 10 Presidents' Cups? Why does the international community tolerate this?

Bernie Sanders would demand we give the Internationals the Cup this year, just to be fair.

Nick Price shits the bed by sitting Sang Moon-Bae tonight. Only Korean golfer on the team (excepting an Asst. Capt.) and ... drum roll, please ... it's being contested in ... Korea! Think the local crowds would have been all over his match? Really, Nick? Really? Oh, and after this event, he is off to the S. Korean military for his mandatory 2 year stint. No golf for him until late 2017. He did appeal. he was denied.

I want to love the Pebble Beach tournament but it's just so damn awkward. Phil hits a big shot and then you have to wait 15 minutes for Ray Romano and some CEO to hit.

ETA: Jesus. How did Phil blow that? Ryder Cup season starting early.

I liked how CBS flashed a graphic that Phil was 23/23 on putts less than 10 feet just before he missed the putt on 18. Vaughn Taylor owes CBS a beer or two.

More remarkable is that he left himself those 5 feet with a chip shot that he usually drops within 5 inches.

Sweet 16 day at the World Match Play begins with 11 Americans in the field, ends with 4 non-americans in the semis. Don't think we need to hold a Ryder Cup this year.
