Hey locals ... are there crab rolls in Baltimore the same as like lobster rolls in New England? Not crab cakes or sushi, just like crab meat and mayo/butter on a hot dog roll.

Not exactly, but the closest might be a soft shell crab sandwich.

A lobster roll doesn’t look like a deep fried lobster hanging out of a sandwich. My wife loves these things. I’m not a fan.

Crab salad isn’t really a popular thing. I think we just bake it in patties and call them crab cakes.

I’m still traumatized from ignorantly ordering a soft shell crab sandwich while out with my wife’s folks in Florida, and having them bring me an actual fucking crab between two buns. All them wiggly legs.

I think I saw one of those on TV before I had seen one on a menu. It doesn't look appetizing.

They're fine. I've never gotten the appeal other than the small window they're available in.

Yeah, that's the weird part. Usually when you showcase something you do it in a minimalist way but I can't seem to find anything thats just crab.

Crabcake with more crab than cake.

Ruth’s Chris does a delicious crab cocktail, so does Tio Pepe and it is just lump crab w some vinaigrette on top.
