I wish I was trying the 'ol reverse jinx. I really just don't see how the Wings are going to beat them in a seven-game series. I mean obviously it's hockey and shit happens. The Red Wings won three OT games against Anaheim and obviously if any one of those games goes the other way they're done, so there's always a chance, but it'll take quite a bit of luck and probably Jimmy Howard standing on his head (which granted -- either or both of those are possible).

Meanwhile, in Stockholm . . . Vancouver Canucks continue to be Vancouver Canucks.

Goddammit that's gruesome.

What separates me from the pros (aside from talent) is that in that situation I'd have absolutely no problem calmly skating over to Edler and taking a Derek-Bell-like swing at Edler's face.

Then I'd do it again.

So, you're pretty much, Link Gaetz, eh?

Somebody around here used to have some good Link Gaetz stories...

While I LOVE the reference, I think I'm closer to Chris Nilan without the scoring ability.

Raffi Torres suspended for the rest of the series. The Sharks are going to miss him. They certainly became better when they acquired him.

Yep.

Edler just got tossed out of the Worlds; suspended for remainder of the tournament. Hope he's looking forward to next Autumn as much as four guys named Staal, a few hundred Canadian NHLers and all of the Carolina Hurricanes are looking forward to getting on the ice with him. Edler might as well begin practice on his turtling (not that he needs much practice, he's an expert) because that little bitch is going to have one fucking big target on his head.
