Re: Trump Admin Meltdown Thread Part V - All Hail King Donald, First of his name

This Trump germaphobe thing doesn't seem like it's true. He's shaking hand left and right during all this.
It's the sixth version of The Swamp. What could possibly go wrong?

I've had the same thought, but so many people that know him say it. Supposedly, that's why he primarily eats fast food, because he doesn't trust fresh cooked to order food.
He's nothing if not consistently inconsistent.
I would imagine that if he had Coronavirus, NO ONE would admit it. He'd do the FDR thing and try to hide his ailment.degenerasian wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 6:53 pm Can you imagine how his Twitter will be if he gets quarantined?
He would have nothing else to do all day but tweet.
That would be tough to do in this day and age.Pruitt wrote: ↑Fri Mar 13, 2020 6:54 pmI would imagine that if he had Coronavirus, NO ONE would admit it. The thing that floors me is Trump-heads/MAGA-idiots are eating this shit up. Read some of the responses and its all 'Trump Fuck Yeah!'. Or even supposed journalists like Brit Hume calling it a 'Gotcha' question.
Depends on how many Americans die in a widespread manner. It has to reach a number large enough that is distributed widely enough that it effects almost literally everyone in the country for him to actually catch meaningful flack.
That moment was terrifying. He was either too stupid to see it as a layup question or he thought putting on a show of attacking the lib press was more important than reassuring the country. It did look like a meltdown.DaveInSeattle wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 9:27 amThe thing that floors me is Trump-heads/MAGA-idiots are eating this shit up. Holy shit...that thing was a juicy 80 mph batting practice fastball right down the pipe. You couldn't have set it on a tee any better. All Trump had to say was something akin to 'I understand people being scared. These are unprecedented times, with a lot of uncertainty. But my administration is working hard to meet the needs of the country, and doing everything possible to make sure everyone stays safe, secure, and healthy'.
BUT NO!!!! Trump is incapable of showing even an ounce of human empathy, to anyone, ever.
If masses of people don’t die, trump saved them. If masses of people do die, it was China. These people and their friends and family will all die stupid and racist, now or later.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 9:40 amDepends on how many Americans die in a widespread manner. Yep. And pointing out mistakes or things that need to be done by the government now to improve things is either unpatriotic or a cheap partisan attack.mister d wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:18 amIf masses of people don’t die, trump saved them. Donald Trump's presidency = LeBron James's basketball prowess.mister d wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:18 amIf masses of people don’t die, trump saved them. If masses of people do die, it was China. I guess I should have put it as, "depends on how many Fox News on-air talent die".mister d wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:18 amIf masses of people don’t die, trump saved them. Yeah - let's say somehow we avoid the worst of this, for whatever reason. Which everybody obviously hopes for. And the stock market house of cards skyrockets at the end of the year when the hedge funds that ACTUALLY control it's movement decide that it's time to buy back all these assets on the cheap, but that's another topic.DSafetyGuy wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 9:40 amDepends on how many Americans die in a widespread manner. I won’t say you have to do it, but someone needs to tell your cousins kids that they’re being assholes. The Sybian wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:30 amYep. My cousin's kids (in their late 20's - mid 30's) are all over FB praising Trump for the amazing job he is doing. One actually said, "Trump is the only politician who actually cares about the people." Lots of stuff like "anyone who ever said 'not my President' shouldn't be entitled to the $1,000 check.'" Then friends responding that it'd be great if Trump refused aid to states that voted against him, stick it to the Libs! And yet, they blame Obama for dividing the country with his divisive rhetoric.
People do, and the backlash is strong. My cousin joined Facebook about 8 years ago. He made it a week before I blocked him. Nothing but racist anti-Obama bullshit. He is the racist retired-NYPD Lt. I've mentioned in the past. He was the head of Internal Affairs, and bragged about being the kind of cop you want heading IA. I'm guessing a lot of bad cops had their files turn up missing. My father thinks he must have done something horrible to get assigned to IA. He said that's the worst punishment in the NYPD other than being thrown off the force. His father, my uncle by marriage, was in the 75th Precinct during the time documented in the extremely well done Netflix documentary The Seven-Five. I told my father about it, he nonchalantly said, "you know your Uncle was the Captain's bagman in the 75th precinct." Looked at my mother, she nodded in agreement and said it wasn't really a secret. [Captain's bagman is the cop in charge of collecting "protection money" from area businesses, basically the cops were shaking down businesses for bribes in order to do their job].L-Jam3 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 2:19 pmI won’t say you have to do it, but someone needs to tell your cousins kids that they’re being assholes. The Sybian wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:30 amYep. This is exactly the situation that Adam Schiff warned against during Impeachment (can't find a link at the moment). He specifically used the example of Trump holding up disaster relief, waiting on a Governor to 'do him a favor'.Pruitt wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 12:33 pm Trump Suggests States Need to Bribe Him With Praise to Get Federal Assistance for COVID-19
"Do you blame the governor for that?"
There are no depths that he won't sink to.

My local nbc station stayed with our governor when trump started. At least someone finally convinced him to have them after market close.
