Seems early, but I'm in. I watched the preseason 5 on 5 Newbies vs. Oldies game a week or so ago. Didn't watch any of the draft or combine stuff yet.
It's worth going back and watching the draft. It's a) really well done and b) good to get to know the rookies. They are going to play a big role for some of the teams.

What a gripping game 1. Tommy redemption in extras.

Yeah, the new blood on both teams.. and apparently throughout the league.. is already showing out.
Who is this Bonham kid? I don't remember him, but he had a monster series.
On the other side, Sailor is just a beast at the plate.

The thing I've started to notice is that the guys that play competitive baseball are sitting on the high, rising fastball. If you look at the HRs in that game, almost all of them are high and out of the zone... But that's the sweet spot for a baseball up and in, high fastball to turn on.
Some absolute BOMBS in this series. Very entertaining.

Mallards rule.
ETA: I like that they put sheet metal in the strike zone thing they have. Makes called strikes a lot more emphatic.

I kinda miss the hitting the pipe sound.

We play with a nylon chair but if the chair catches it, you're out, so you can't be looking for walks.

Pipe is still there... blue with orange joints.
Much better strike zone config with the metal sheet.
I know, but it wasn't hard to tell when a ball was a strike before (i.e. when it hit the netting). The sheet metal is too jarring for me.
I mean, I don't really give that much of a fuck about it, but I prefer no sheet metal. Kind of a wood bat/metal bat in baseball thing for me.

Season keeps rolling along, new comers looking good, vets playing mostly to form.
In the midst of all that, this popped up in my feed. I haven't watched a TON of Blitzball, but enough to know these guys are good/entertaining. Very much looking forward this six inning, alternating format tilt.
Enjoy!

Probably the 2 best pitchers in the game square up at The Meadow. Solid match-up.

MLW offseason sucks. This is usually about the time I'm watching Jimmy Knorp chase history.
