Back home. 10 out of 10. 31 years of pain and frustration collectively put to bed by 63,000+ people. Glad me and Geep could be there together for it.

Strange sensation. This is the first playoff game since I’ve been watching the Eagles where I have zero expectations of victory to stress over. It’s pretty cool. Whatever happens, even a 59-0 shutout loss, and I’d be totally cool with it.

you weren't even mad at the phantom roughing the passer call?

Not really. Shit happens.

So with Brady, it seems more likely than not that he’s on PED’s, because that just seems likelier that he can play at this level at this age rather than he avoids tomatoes. And I can’t have even the slightest of concern about that. He’s an entertainer, and his PED use makes him entertaining. I’m guessing that a large percentage of people who follow the NFL 1) have similar suspicions, and 2) have the same level of concern. Do you think (the royal) we as fans just accept it now as opposed to the 90s-early 00s in baseball? Or we just expect it more in football? Or is the lack of concern just a race thing?

Not a good start for teams from PA that surprisingly made the playoffs that are playing teams that were in the last Super Bowl. Or something.

So how do we rate Hurts as an NFL QB? Is it him or the system?

I think it's both. Hurts is not a good QB and the system isn't built to take advantage of a QB with legs.

Never heard Aikman as irritated as he was in the first half. He kept highlighting the soft coverage on Smith and then wondered why Hurts wasn't throwing to him.

Not having seen much of Hurts, he really looks like he's unable to even look for a second option.

Fucking Bucs had like eight non-shitty seasons in their entire franchise history, and two of them resulted in Super Bowl wins.

Would be nice for that first drive to be a sign of things to come for the remainder of the game.

The home crowd are doing a much better job of slowing the 49ers offense than Dallas' defense.

I love how Cowboys Stadium stopped a Dallas drive in its tracks late in the first half, as the late afternoon sun burst through the open concourse in the western end zone onto the field of play, basically blinding receivers who have to look back for the ball. What is this? Stonehenge?

Imagine having a great plan and executing it and then having a practice squad guy on the punt block team come in and Leeroy Jenkins the whole thing away.

ETA: And they’re ripping Dallas for beating themselves with penalties

A trick punt for a first, then not switching to the offense with Delay of Game, and then young Sheldon explaining the penalty, sums up the McCarthy era better than anything.

Yeah but the ref has to get out of the way. How does he refuse to let them snap the ball until there’s 1s on the play clock then immediately flag them for delay of game? Just bizarre.

In a just world, McCarthy and the OC would be fired before they left the field. Even before the post-game handshake.

Along the same lines Captain Obvious is moonlighting as the burglar in the Simply Safe ads.
