Tom Watson was the only one I could think of besides the obvious Tiger answer. Looking at that list, just shaking my head...
The TW locked me in instantly and I knew it'd be a huge score because of that. Only other one coming to mind was Tom Hagen, and I knew that was Robert Duval's character in the Godfather. Figured it was low odds the golfer Hagen's first name started with a T or W, so I didn't just say Hagen.

I thought old timers like Walter Hagen couldn’t win because prize money is so much greater nowadays. (I missed the most wins part.) I gotta read the questions more closely. I said Gemini because i missed the “space shuttle” part of the question.
