Easily my #1. Because I saw it on a monitor in the press box, at SB XVIII. (Marcus Allen sealed the memory.)

A couple ways to go here. A tune by Waylon Jennings or Dion (who declined taking the flight; Jennings charitably giving his seat to Richardson who had the flu, Dion cheaply, preferring to save $36 and ride the tour bus instead.) Instead, I'll go with this. Why do they gotta front?

That's almost like the story of the one Bar-Kays guy who missed the fatal flight with Otis Redding because it was his turn to fly commercial, as the plane was one seat short for the entire band.

I think I have posted this before, but my friend's dad played with Otis Redding and stopped just a bit before that plane crash. He is the guy with the glasses and guitar

James Alexander, the bass player (not in that picture above), is the one who flew commercial. The trumpet player, Ben Cauley (also not in that picture), unbuckled his seat belt just before the crash; he was thrown clear of the wreckage and was the only survivor on board the flight. They reformed the Bar-Kays in the aftermath. Played on a bunch of Issac Hayes records, including Theme from Shaft.

James Alexander fathered a rap producer whom he named after a bandmate.
