The Simpsons predicted this Super Bowl back in 2005. I hope they got the outcome right!

6 inches of the heavy wet snow yesterday here in Toronto...

Blown directly into my dish. Woke up without satellite service. Either this improves, or I'm spending the evening at the Mother In Law's.

Could be the worst Super Sunday since 94.

So this year I have tried to introduce my girlfriend of three years to American football.

I did this initially through the medium of fantasy football, which saw her draft a team almost entirely based upon amusingly named players (Including: LeShon McCoy, DeMarco Murray, Demaryrius Thomas, Marques Colston, Denarius Moore, Kenbrell Thompson, Pierre Garson and her personal favourite, Jaquizz Rodgers) and she damn near won the league. This has, as a result made me seriously consider how I draft...

Anyway, I tried to explain my disdain of all things 'Broncos' to her this evening. I went through my loathing of John Elway, the horrible orange shirts and recently, the decision of Peyton Manning to choose Denver over Tennessee. Having listened to my well researched argument and my decision to support the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, she has decided that I am a bit of a cunt!

I believe we are both correct?

Puppy Bowl on here currently. Son has Strep. Daughter is running around in her room, when she should be napping. I just know she's going to get strep too. Wife just went to the hospital for a 4-12 shift. It's me and the kids for the Super Bowl - hope Renee Fleming doesn't have a wardrobe malfunction.

The official TTB prediction:

Tails

Denver 31
Seattle 24

Manning 314 yards, 3 TDs
Beast mode 117 yards, 2 TDs incl. a 45 yard scamper
oh shit...

Come on ref, let 'em play! Three flags already.

ETA: Were I a dog, I doubt I would find the traditional pom-pom poodle hairstyle attractive.

ETAA: Loren racking up yards, but bogged down in the red zone three times. Key takeaway by Bayla at the one.

Feeling strangely confident today. Not like 2 weeks ago against the Niners, who were clearly a better team then the Broncos. Sure, Peyton may win the whole thing by himself, but the Hawks seem like a more complete team. I'm expecting big things from Marshawn and Percy Harvin.

Hawks 30
Broncos 20

Look for a big interception in the 4th as Peyton is trying to lead the comeback.

Because taking the train from Manhattan to a J-E-T-S reg season game was such a smooth, flawless experience. I had to take a train to central Jersey one Sunday recently, concurrently with a Giants pregame crowd, around 1:30 or 2:00pm (4:15pme kickoff). Not quite a disaster, but not pleasant (way overcrowded train, long ticket booth and ticket machine lines).

This is not a shock. Especially if Gov Christie has beef with someone incidentally involved.

Prop bets made:
Yes to a safety (+425)
Yes to OT (+500)
Broncos score exactly 24 points (+1000)
Teams combine for over 4.5 sacks (+120)

The Broncos aren't just shitting the bed; they're shitting a waterbed filled with diarrhea, topped by a blanket woven from shit-fibers.

Prediction: Trindon Holliday will go down as the all time leader in taking a kickoff from the end zone, then getting tackled before reaching the 20.

As a long time Broncos hater, I am loving this... I just need to see a few shots of Elway crying to complete the picture.

UK coverage on channel 4 has TD in the studio getting older by the play. It really is a thing of beauty!
