I donated blood yesterday, and they measured my height for some reason, which came in at 5’10”. Same thing at the doctor’s office a month ago.

I was 5’11 1/2” for most of my adult life. But, now in my sixties, I appear to be shrinking. Feck.

If he spoke a little slower, it sounded like an episode of Joe Pera Explains. It seemed like a parody of Pera at times (proud to not go for the pun there).

I agree. I’ll admit it’s not an issue I’m familiar with, but if somebody is struggling for any reason, don’t you think empathy is a better reaction than disdain?

Wait a minute. I was just cracking wise. I was saying more along the lines that I have clinical depression, so I tend to look Seasonal Affective Disorder as a significant mood disorder, on a lesser level of CD. I’m not saying it’s not a thing, it most certainly is. SAD certainly sucks.

The way I put it was pretty shitty, and even though I wasn’t trying to put anyone down, it clearly did. I’m sorry, I meant no harm but I realized it did.

I have had a bad habit of cracking my knuckles way too much for just about as long as I can remember. I know they say that doesn't really cause arthritis and whatnot, but my hands have been kind of constantly hurting for a while so I am trying to cut back on the knuckle popping. It's a hard habit to break, and may not even help. Hoping it's psychosomatic and I at least think it helps.

Just got prescribed BP meds.

Well, it was a fun ride.

I just walked down to RiteAid to pick up a month's supply of Tenoretic (Atenolol-Chrlorthalidone 5025). I was instructed to break four of them in half and only take half a pill for the first 8 days. Apparently it makes you lightheaded. I ordered a BP cuff off Amazon that should be here over the weekend. It connects to my iHealth app, though I might disconnect that and track it in a workbook.

I'm supposed to up my walking game to 7k steps a day. I'm game for that. I'm nerdy enough to track that, too.

Back at the gym for the first time in two years.

The Fitness Assessment was officially fine, but having a gorgeous 40 year old trainer tell me that "actually" I wasn't doing as badly as I thought in a tone that she probably uses trying to get her Grandmother to take her medicine didn't do much for my ego.

I now understand why college is so expensive. The volume of brochures my son receives every day in the mail is insane. I'm sure he doesn't even look at them before throwing them in the trash.

My youngest graduates in a few months.

Colleges pay between $0.30 and $0.55 per lead to the College Board based on some research I have done in the past. My son is 1st year in high school and getting hammered (mostly by email) by several non-selective VA schools.
