Its weird that I just challenged one of Q's friends to do this a week ago. I think she got 10.
Far more importantly, has everyone seen an oriole in person before? There was one at the community pool on Sunday and we adults realized we were aware of them, probably because of the bad baseball team, but can't recall ever seeing one before. They're quite striking.

I see them frequently on one of the bike trails I ride. I also saw an orchard oriole on that same trail. But yes, they are very eye catching.

Grackles (especially the ones in Texas that have a yellowish-tinge on their head)
Indigo bunting
Scarlet tanager
Eastern kingbird
Red-headed woodpecker
Eastern bluebird
If we're going to include bird calls or songs as part of the sexiness, then I would also add the wood thrush, whip-poor-will and veery.

Reddit's r/orioles thread now has members posting pictures/facts about actual orioles instead of baseball stuff. It is way more interesting to read and way more fun to look at.

One of the few things I enjoy about visiting my wife's family in Missouri is seeing some of the birds they have that we don't see in California. They have bird feeders right outside a window, and I often see big red cardinals. Baseball/religion jokes aside, that is one impressive-looking bird.

I'm certainly willing to listen to other arguments, but if we're talking about names shared by multiple unrelated athletes, "Steve Smith" has to have the best players, right? Between the Carolina/Baltimore near-HOF receiver, the NBA Defensive stopper, and the NYG receiver for starters.

The next Sumo basho begins on Sunday.
It should be a great one as there are three Yokozuna competing for the first time in 4 tourneys or so, plus a couple of red hot higher ranking guys.
Some basic info here
Highlight packages of each day's bouts run 15-30 minutes. I'm telling you - more exciting than baseball by a mile.
