Clarification on Q3 - I'm looking for one of the pre-merger company names. Some companies were involved with more than one. 10 mergers, 16 answers.

Probably a stupid question, but for #7, does it have to be exactly 65 wins/losses, or just at least that many?

Careful. He's fresh of a win against a guy who can't read and who thinks Bill Belichick is an NHL coach.

Does anyone else's weekly Swampcrash cadence go like this?

1. On Monday, make a draft list of answers, assuming you'll come up with better ones over the course of the week
2. Around Thursday, review the list to realize you haven't come up with any better answers and submit as-is
3. Immediately after submission, hit up Wikipedia to see if your answers are correct
4. Sink into a mini-depression upon realizing you whiffed on multiple questions and are probably hosed unless your opponent forgets to submit

That's pretty close. Usually on Monday, I just think through answers. In a day or two, I create an email with all of my possible answers.

Then on Friday I go over those possible ones and choose the ones that invariably end up as wrong or most popular.

I go through and answer them right when I receive them, sometimes kinda making lists until I say fuck it and go with an answer I just thought of during list making.

I also answer differently based on opponent. Against say Diamond I'm more apt to try for a 1 pointer.

I generally go through and make a list of 1-3 answers that I think are correct if I can. Then I try to game the system and/or think of others over the next couple of days.

I read the questions quickly, think I will give it some thought later, then when I see the thread Friday morning, I panic and send the first thing that pops into my head. If it is a question in my wheelhouse, I torture myself trying to balance an obscure correct answer that only most of you know, and the risk of most of you picking the obscure answer rather than a common answer most of you avoid because it is common.

That said, I already submitted. Took some time, let's see if I did any better.

I could only think of Greenberg, Yaz and Killebrew (which is odd since I'm typically good at baseball history trivia). I think all will score high but Yaz has to be #1.
