I would have assumed someone hacked into his Twitter account, but this is in line with the rest of his tweets. Fucking idiot.

So he either thinks hot sauce/taco sauce in a jar is salsa, or he buys really shitty salsa

The crazy thing is that I think he really, truly honestly believes he's funny.

I hope he realizes that old Speedy Gonzalez cartoons were subliminal messages about drugs.

Or rather, nevermind. Let him indulge in it and engorge himself with salsa made in New York City.

It used to be that Twitter's "notifications" were just to tell me of new followers or retweets/likes. Now, they "notify" me to tell me that some random person I follow has put up some new posts. Wtf?

I may need to start following Twitter just for Huckabee.

Or is it Hitchcock?

(It's definitely scully, but I always get those two confused.)

I used to as well, but they've done a pretty good job of fleshing out their characters this season. Hitchcock is sneaky smart sometimes, thinks he's a badass and is a fuckup and Scully is timid, dumb and a fuckup.

So I'd say Huckabee is more like Hitchcock.

Not sure why this is suddenly trending again over 2 years later, but I've never seen it and it's funny.

(I've read through the conversation. I have no idea what the argument was about. He H/T'd but that was incorrect. I don't Twitter enough to understand.)

it's simple etiquette. RT and the quote tweet features of twitter exist for a reason -- they're easy to use.

The weird thing is that -- and I know this from personal experience -- you need special software/browser extension to download a GIF from Twitter. So he had to use a third-party extension to download my GIF, compose his tweet and then upload my GIF and add the "H/T" to my handle to complete his tweet. It's a relatively arduous process for a tweet.

I know I'm not the first person to call him out on his inability to retweet. Whatever. He was dumb, let's move on. But he defended it by saying he was adding an update to the GIF -- which is what the quote tweet is for. Then he said "well it's my employer's video!" And I responded that well, then use your employer's video and that his self-promotion was transparent.

He then pretended to be offended and threatened to never quote tweet, retweet or H/T me again. And given that he consciously neglected to do the first two options in the first place, I found that quite rich.

He then blocked me. So. Freaking. Bizarre.

Ohhhh. I gotcha. It's a subliminal way of looking like the source for said material than actually giving credit in a more professional way.

A retweet of your stuff adds to your numbers where a retweet from him adds to his. And you get the credit the first time but not the times thereafter.

Dick move for sure. Especially with the gif download explanation.

As someone who works at a software company their lack (either willfully or accidentally) of interest in working on anything that users actually want makes me laugh. You can't even display fucking Tweets chronologically in any sort of way that makes sense. And don't get started about their disinterest in blocking abusive and racist users.

But sure, keep rolling out those design tweaks while the ship is sinking.

if you're on a PC/Mac, why are you using web twitter and not Tweetdeck or a third party app?

I'd let Pepe the Frog run the company if he'd let me put an image in a quote tweet

Because all I do is browse and occasionally fave shit and even less often respond to one of you guys. The standard web interface has always been more than adequate for that.

Messing with tweetdeck for a couple of minutes, it looks great if I was concerned with keeping up with messages or notifications or mentions.

Plus, there are fucking circles there, too, smart guy.

Is this simply because they/facebook know that if they start censoring, someone else will take their market share?

I don't know. My own personal opinion is that they just don't care. I don't think it's any more planned/sinister than that.

We don't all tweet for our jobs, so I don't bother with anything other than browser.

It got a huge update about 3 years ago and has been miles better.

I understand those who wouldn't use tweetdeck as a casual user, but it's better than the web interface especially if you use it as a news source and have a list or two that you check out. And it's not like you have to have it open 24/7 anyway.
