Mario Cuomo

Mario Cuomo, 3-Term Governor, Father and Eloquent Liberal Beacon, Dies at 82

Once upon a time, the Democratic Party had actual liberals. This guy could've spared us the Clintons, but he decided not to run for president in '92.

I heard his speech at the '84 dem convention (I was a security guard.) Best speech I ever heard, including Jesse Jackson's the night before. Also once upon a time, politicians gave great speeches.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Hey, Obama talks a good game. It is his actions, or lack there of, that re the problem.

He used to. His speeches have been horrible the last four years or so. His speeches on Syria, on the health care initiative, were borderline gibberish. Lost his fastball a while ago.

"I have mob ties". Funny now as funny as, damn, 24 years ago.
