when i coached up to u12 -- used an app with the other coach to keep track of who was on and for how long - anyone watned toask.. we had data to show at end of season.. always worked out..
from u13-u19.. no guarantee on any time especially at 15-19 -- and those teams generally only had 2 or 3 subs (despite having 20+ kids on the team) so wasnt' hard to get people in.. at the older end -- you practice you play.. you don't practice.. don't expect to get a lot of playing time.

My daughter's team has the added joy of rostering 21 girls and you can only dress 18 for a game. Coach sends out an email Friday afternoons with the roster for the Saturday or Sunday games. Added stress when away games are in Maryland and most people get a hotel and stay overnight. It's pretty rare that players don't/can't come to a game, so you have to plan your weekends and hope your kid makes the roster. So far it's been the same 4 girls getting cut, which he seems to rotate between them, but there is still that moment of panic opening the email, looking through his list and missing your daughter's name the first read through. I feel bad for one of the girls who gets cut. She is also new to the team. Played on the summer team, and I thought she was really good, so I was surprised she kept getting dropped. My daughter said she had a knee injury in school soccer and is playing timid, afraid to go into tackles, and that's why the coach doesn't rate her. They had a different coach for the summer tournaments.

Home game for state final four.

Facilities will be challenged. Bordering on unsafe. Worth it to see girl (who qualified for sectionals) jump the fence with students and mob the team.

Boy played in two games but a cheerleader now so a quince court gets priority over film session?

Congrats. And are you running their social media account? Or do North Atlanta soccer dads all just write like that?

A friend's son got accepted onto the United Futbol Academy Boys Gold Team (2013 U12) as a goalie. Anyone have any info on them?

Yeah definitely. I'll put together something and find a real contact if they want it but good (massive) club. Theyve been on acquisition trail last several years. Seems to funnel into a dude named Iggy's pockets. But ecnl #1s and good teams generally.

It's tryout week here and been shit. The worst week of the year. When you send your kid out there in direct contradiction to NIH guidelines it makes you wonder as a parent. Just taped an ankle for the third tryout of the day.

Ufa super solid north suburbs is main. Top 5 boys soccer environment. Top team u12 will (prematurely) be playing 11v11 by late spring and generally called pre ecnl. Id guess 20-30 u12 teams at all branches all over the state and Dunwoody now metro Atlanta very good. Norcross also serious branch very good. gold is probably ahead of 2/3 in ability. Site says young coach second year. The fact that it is available at all is a check. Who knows. Ufa and about 5 other clubs basically took over the state soccer governance and then took over super y (summer ball) so look him up and be a creeper if he coaches sccl summer. Keepers a bit different but Ufa will have keeper training for all levels.

Lost in semis. Incredible just to tag along. Fans! And ghsa official complaints I won't soon let go. Best experience and he's seen the level. Well see if he can reach it.

Club tournament fun but second level so muted. Medals! Trinkets to the kids. But great new highlight reel.https://youtu.be/p_Cr9mJHFAo?feature=shared

Club fucked the kids twice. First an apparent equity and Brentford FC marketing deal (https://intrepidsportsgroup.com/intrepi ... s-swarmfc/) means $497 tax exempt unis and a shitty ball what the fuck??? Second they sold current league team to an exurban private school and moved their new team in the same league to south suburbs where profits are higher (but talent is lower fuckers) because field space is impossible.

8 tryout sessions in 4 days leads to a demotion to the taken over state league club level. You want to know how to drive parents insane... Drop the level and tell everyone 5 days before tryouts after all id sessions and open practice opportunities over.

Well they ain't looking for holding midfielders at tryouts. Youll crawl back to these British fucks and like it. Hope you learned well kid. Did get looks and dominated some but theres no path for a unknown December at a huge tryout.

Fire in belly. Running in the driveway and playing at the school. Actual month off.

Damn, your kid is good! Nice highlights package. It looks like he really controls the middle of the field nicely.

Great on the turn and distribution. Also love how he follows his pass and runs into the box. Just need to step up his celebrations on the goals, unless it was 6-0 at that point.

Back at it. And a great day. Overcast and cool. Didn't know those existed in July. Having a great time but you can't bring six to a 3v3 and you can't have anyone that struggles. 0/2 so 0-2. Still smiles and touches abound. So glad to be past U14. Some of those teams have kids the size of u17s yet only one of the u17s is 6'3". Lies and loopholes.

Kelley o hara Jersey on the wall. Couple teams from her HS playing. It's a soccer part of town but the players drive an hour cause the tournament sponsor loses MLS next at u15. Another reason the club moved the kids team to this side of town... no competition. demoted and no access to the kickoff tournament next weekend but the club paired them with the nal team in a tournament the weekend after while the team that replaced them is in the second division. They don't care who's better it's all where can we make more cash

Retribution. 3 goal W in the final against the clubs NAL team. Passed up every kid on his team at tryouts only to go down 0-2 and they finished it out with the bench on the field!

Your talent evaluation sucks sir.

Love it, but also sucks for the kids seeing they are good enough or better than the higher team. Really sucks for the coach or tryout decision maker. At my daughter’s old club, they always promised the B team would scrimmage the A team, and it never happened. Lots of parents would complain because they thought the B team was better and the club didn’t want to risk pissing off parents. I saw both teams practice, A was much better, but from my experiences, the top half of most B teams are equal to the bottom half of B teams. Just sucks that some kids don’t get the chance to move up.

Great start to the girl's Sophomore season. 4 games in, and she already has 6 goals and 2 assists. At this stage last season, her entire team hadn't scored a goal yet. 4-1 record, but they have a tough stretch ahead. Her and a friend went down to a field to train several times a week throughout the summer. One of the things they worked on was corner kicks. First two goals of the season came from my daughter's corner off her friend's head. Both were in the identical spot at the far post, the first her friend headed off the crossbar and a teammate put in the rebound. The second, her friend headed off the bottom of the crossbar and in. Her friend scored directly off my daughter's corner in another game. Great to see their work over the summer having direct dividends.

Can she take kicks for the MNT?

(The funny thing, Pulisic's corner resulted in ACM's 2nd goal (I think) this weekend.)
