Random golf thought - David Feherty is two years younger than me. Fuck i'm old.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Once you technically qualify for the Seniors Tour, it's all downhill.

And Mike Weir is +10. Soon we'll be able to call him Canada's David Duval.

Tell that to Greg Norman, 1996 (63-69-71-78=281.)

The Masters and the Grand National are the only things I really bet on. This year I have placed my each way (top 5 finish at 1/4 of the odds) money on the following:

Spieth @ 10-1
Henley @ 125-1
Horschel @ 100-1
Koepka @ 100-1

Hopefully I will have an interesting 4 days...

Gonna be touch and go later on today. Thunderstorms in the forecast, look like nasty ones too. Doesn't matter, tournament is over anyway.

Is Augusta a standard rain course or is there some nuance I should know about if I'm rooting for the relatively short hitting Ryan Moore to not only make the cut but actually put up a decent score?

It's pretty damn long like all the courses these days. Moore's problem is he doesn't hit a super high percentage of greens and doesn't scramble great. He's middle of the road in those categories as well as putting, so it's not a great course for him, IMO.

Did I mention mine is a "best 3 of 4 cumulative scoring, team eliminated if 2 guys miss the cut" pool? So while Hoffman charging to the top helps, the other three making a run at the cut line hurts a lot more. Dicks.

Has anyone called out the golf coach at U. Texas for recruiting "rent a players" like Jordan Spieth? I mean, he didn't even finish his sophomore year there before turning pro. Disgraceful, and makes a mockery of college athletics. Whatever happened to "student-athletes"?

He's playing solid. -2 with a real shot at birdie.

Gotta love the Masters--showing a 10 minute interview with a 65-year old man instead of Phil and Rory finishing up.

but he got it back right away. it seems like nobody else will get to -10 today. they get close, but everybody on that first and second page of the leader board will end up at the end of the day clustering between -9 and -5.

if speith doesn't win, it will end up being a spectacular collapse rather than a comeback for the ages.

The big boys start at 2:30 today. CBS could show Billy Payne scratching his ass for the first 30 minutes of the broadcast today, and they just might.
