Good thing Morgan scored on that shot. She passed up two WIDE open teammates in the box. Terrible positioning by the goalie there. It looks like we're gonna blow this one open.

After seeing the replay, she offered up an apology.

I haven't been the biggest fan of the second guessy announcing for their games so far, but I think they were right that she has looked gassed by the second half of the second halves. Now that your girl has proved she can play 90, they can bring Wambach in as a a high quality sub.

Wrt Rodriguez, I'm kinda surprised there aren't more women built like her on the top US squad, that short, squat athletic softball player build. Johnston is as big through the hips as they generally get.

One more thing, and I hope I don't hex it, but there seems no threat of quick counterattack from the Chinese when USA pushes forward. No problem so far getting back in transition.
