Well the NFL had that one helmet rule for a bit (which I think they got rid of). I honestly forgot about Jacksonville. But that half paint thing is terrible. As for college....that can't count. I mean those programs have different helmets for the first half and 2nd half of games at this point if you are an UA school, have a rivalry game, or are Oregon.

Did you watch the Vikings? I think they use matte helmets.

Apparently my knowledge is weak...but this is way cooler than purple matte that is still to shiny
on the other hand....this is pretty fantastic

Was thinking about this while watching football this weekend.
Why don't any teams go matte instead of high gloss football helmets?
The Saints’ helmets look good in the matte tonight.

VGK releases their first "third" jersey. Not a huge fan, but they're not dreadful I guess. Unique, so that's something.

I like them. How long before american teams embrace the soccer style of varying colors year to year versus slight tweaks to the standards?

I guess photos don't really do the main color justice since it's actually a reflective gold meant to "shimmer" in real life. According to those who have seen them, so that improves things a bit. (though it was still a funny comment).

That was brilliant. I actually really like the look of them, but I'm a bit leery of the glittery aspect described. Curious to see them in person, but not likely to happen any time soon.

100%.
I remember some wag on twitter referring to Nashville's mustard-colored alternate sweaters as colored "baby-shit yellow".

My wife’s maiden name is Morgan and she’s picked Spurs as her team so there’s one item for under the likely fake 2020 xmas tree.

Agreed..nice job. Grant Wahl interviewed a guy who did badge, logo, and uniform work for lots of the US and non-US soccer team. He was saying he really wanted to get away from logos with balls in them and the standard badge shapes.

The top three positive sports stories out of my city - new soccer team crests, AAA team moves to a suburb, and those unis. Everything else is trash and can fuck off.
Ah, 2020.

We got our daughter a Rocket City Trash Pandas hat a couple years ago (a raccoon thing). Apparently, Huntsville Raccoons wasn't good enough.

3D printing an Among Us character is EXACTLY how my 7 year old would utilize a 3D printer if he could get his hands on one.
