Not a fan of the Phillies jers but the liberty bell hat is pretty sweet!!
TBH, I think they all could have done so much better.
FWIW, really digging some of what I've seen from Nike and the NBA unis. Big fan of the subtle Brotherly Love on the 76ers.

Real uniforms continuing to look more and more like video game create-a-teams.

Did we discuss this here? I can't ever remember at this point. Anyway ... isn't the rumor that leagues are starting to strip down their looks so ads are taking up blank space versus drastically altering uniforms in one season?

Yeah, that was referenced in the thread about the new NHL jerseys. NBA is in the same situation. Safe to say any kind of NBA jersey redesign will leave space for future ads.

When the Cardinals find out Baltimore tied them for most guys picking their last names, they're going to force a rookie to get rid of his nickname, right?

So as some know I have a friend of friend connection to Matt Albers. Had my friend ask how he picked up his jersey nickname,"Albie". Response, "That's the best I could come up with". Which just opened up the exchange on nicknames he should have used instead. My personal favorites were "Hey Hey Hey" and "Donuts"

I think its hilarious that Kyle Seager went with "Corey's Brother".

So, they play night games with the numbers and the letters lit up? Or, all games? I want to see this.

Pretty good idea, though you could just buy and own two jerseys a year for the same price. Still, I think it might do pretty well. People are a lot more accustomed and comfortable with the subscription model these days.

If you're looking to snag a collector's item—French soccer club Montpellier had a batch of its shirts misspelled with one "L" and so plans to send them to Montpelier, VT.

I wonder what the least-used MLB teams are for youth leagues across the country. I'm coaching fall ball right now and apparently the uniform choices were pretty limited because for the first time ever, we have some Brewers, Padres, and Rays. I almost literally can't believe they allow Brewers anymore.
AND...every jersey has the generic cursive team names (unlike in the spring when we get nice DriFit shirts with the actual team scripts on the front) except the Indians, who have a big freaking Chief Wahoo on the left chest with no wordmark.

You got me excited by saying Logo leak, looks like the same badge, though. I hate that badge, it just doesn't have a soccer look to it.

Sorry yeah Kit. The white one is growing on me but neither of these are classic looks that will stick for years. For example, I have a great England 1992 Umbro shirt that I put on yesterday for soccer practice.

Nothing really much to add, except that I stopped into Mitchell & Ness this afternoon after lunch, and I suggest anyone stopping by my fair city to spend a half hour in there to reminiscence.

High St. on Market is reeeaaal good. Khyber is solid and a cool spot. I like Knead better than any bagel I've had in this area except Sadelle's. Any Tired Hands IPAs are worth a try aside from Hophands which is kinda boring.

Depending on if/when you've been to Philadelphia the "should hit once" spots are Reading Terminal Market, Monk's Cafe (one of the original craft bars) and McGillin's (which I think calls itself the oldest bar in the US).
And for newer recs or if you've been before: Strangelove's is another solid beer bar and Federal Donuts is real good.
I'll let the experts handle the rest.

After a friend asked for guidance on a jersey project this year, I started lurking the icejerseys forum again. I know a lot about that world, and I'm a collector myself,
but these guys are in a different universe.I recently saw a thread titled 'Griswold CCM. Big block or Small block?' I figured that the 'block' had something to do with the CCM logo on the hem, but I didn't know what Griswold meant. So I opened the thread.
I've tried my damnedest to figure out if the jersey Clark Griswold is wearing in Christmas Vacation is a Big or Small block CCM. I've seen movie stills where the elbow patch stitching is showing so it's definitely a Pro Authentic as I've been a collector that long myself and know the replicas back then didn't have the extra elbow material.
So...has anyone figured out if it's a small or big block CCM? Ultrafil or Airknit?
Would like to make one up, but do it proper. So many cheap copies out there, if I'm going to do it, might as well do it right.
Tremendous. This guy wants the jersey that Chevy Chase wore in a movie. But it has to be authentic and era-specific. This is true dedication to the craft.

Whoa! That is obsessed.
Unrelated - Brighton played at Wembley against Spurs today in what looked like old Padres uniforms.
Shoulders looked more Brown on TV.
Am I the only one who thinks that it is ridiculous that clubs wear road unis with no relation to their home colours?

For the first time in at least 50 years the Olde English D on the Tigers hats will match the one on the uniforms.
I like the cap D better myself (and that's what I have a tattoo of), but I always liked how idiosyncratic it was that they were different.

I burned through a ton of cleats back when I was playing Ultimate. Finally got a pair of Copas (played on a team with a pro-form deal with Adidas) that fit perfectly, and lasted forever.
