Rohit Sharma with 140 today. Feels like this is India’s tournament to lose but you never know once it goes to knockouts.

So it would seem. West Indies' bowlers seem to leave a little to be desired so I wouldn't put it past the Bangladeshis to catch their score. Might come down to if the West Indies can get a couple of lucky wickets.

Nice fielding play for Windies' second out.

With the exception of that second out, Windies bowling and fielding has been pretty garbage. They'll rue that missed chance they had to get Shakib out and no one got to the ball.

If the Windies lose this they will have a big decision to make, window or aisle.

Bangladesh probably could have chased down 375 this match. Very impressive performance.

So much for Morgan's bad back 148 off 71 balls with 17 sixes

Things i just learned
1.) The Cricket World cup is like Hockey World Championships where the US is playing for promotion to world status (currently ranked 20th....take that Canada at 21). Was promoted from League 3 to League 2 for the 2019-2022 World Cup Cycle.

2.) The West Indies are actually a federated team (The players on this composite team are selected from a chain of fifteen Caribbean territories)

I finally gave up dealing with illegal streams and signed up for Willow for $5 a month for the rest of the tournament and the ads are hilarious. The ad space must be dirt cheap because there's Indian Bay Area CPAs buying ad time.

I bought it two days ago so a friend of mine could watch. He works with a bunch of Indians, and he said he would be a local hero if he could stream the India games to the break room TV.

But yes, the ads are hilarious. The Indian guy talking about astrology signs is a good one. And I especially liked the Bangladeshi matrimony ads I saw during the Bangladesh-Windies game yesterday.

I liked Bangladeshi Matrimony one too. I've got a weird thing for South Asian women, so there's a timeline out there where me knowing those sites exist end up with me being on 90 Day Fiancee one day.

If they have Big Bash League and the IPL (which I think they do?) I might just keep it (or cancel until December then re-add it).

(Of course that means I'll have to adopt a Big Bash team and an IPL team. I can't root for Mumbai, so thinking I might have to rep Bangalore or Chennai. Can't root for Kolkata Knight Riders because of the 80s TV show and that's a little too close to KKK for me).

Can't really follow an IPL team as I've not been India, I would follow the Perth Scorchers though as I have watched Sheffield Shield cricket at the WACA

Never been either, but I enjoyed that Netflix show following the Mumbai Indians.

Guerilla Cricket stream matches and their coverage is fantastic and so much fun. I listen to them through TuneIn for free.

England and India are so much better than everyone else at the ODI game, that I would be shocked if anyone else wins this. 17 6’s from Morgan in one innings is astonishing. I saw a stat that he’s had more sixes in this World Cup than all but two countries so far now. Given their variety in attack (assuming Moeen comes back in) and the fact that a number of different bats have gotten hot (Jos, Root, Stokes, and now Morgan), and I think England are likely to earn their pre-tourney favorite status.

Roy was going well to until the hamstring, I wonder how Alex Hales would have played in this, guess we will never know.

South Africa with the second lowest 20 over score of the tournament so far, only Afghanistan have scored less.

So I know they had rain and the match was delayed, but why play 49 overs instead of just playing 50? Would the extra over per team really take THAT much time?

I thought NZ might chase this one down no problem. They still have a chance, but they're running out of time. Could be an exciting finish.

132 needed of 22 overs, exactly 6/over required

I don't think the Kiwis have any sixes yet, which is unheard of in this tournament. There's been an average of 9 per match. Might get a couple as the SA bowlers start to tire a bit.

I think one thing that would be pretty cool with the TV broadcast would be updated live odds on which team will win after every ball (or at least every over).

Okay, isn't it odd to say that New Zealand beat South Africa by "four wickets"? They each lost six wickets.

I get using that terminology in a test match, but not for an ODI.
