I actually laughed when I heard the news.

And then I remembered that I just don't have any more fucks to give about this shit.

I'll just add that I hope Trump has a psychotic break on the international stage when the international media goes full tilt on him.

Understanding that this is a horrible atrocity - I still think "as you sow, so shall you reap."

6 weeks since the Vegas shooting, and it';s still not the time to talk about gun control.

This maniac worked in logistics readiness at an AFB in New Mexico. It’s basically Johnnie!

Obviously not the maniac part. Just their job/branch in the service.

Hollomon, according to reports. Not Kirtland, so thankfully I won't be asked about him.

I'm looking forward to this deployment, you guys. I'll be in a safer environment than the lot of you. Godspeed.

From the LA Times:

President Trump said the South Texas shooting that killed at least 26 people wasn't "a guns situation," and blamed it instead on the gunman's mental health.

The Columbine school shooting shocked America. As of today, it is no longer one of the 10 deadliest shootings in modern US history.

And don’t forget, Trump rolled back Obama’s order prohibiting the sale of firearms to the mentally ill.

I'm sure it's already happening, but it'll be fascinating to watch the narrative that a good guy with a gun killed the shooter unfold as officials determine if he was shot by someone or killed himself.

P-Dub on MSNBC said authorities don't know for sure and are having to run ballistics tests and the like to officially figure it out.

1st report I saw was a neighbor ran to the church and killed the assailant. I think it was from Fox.

Said by the guy who has a) made it easier for someone with mental health issues to buy a gun, and b) seriously defunded mental health care.

I have a similar thread going on over at Facebook. People offended by others pointing out that Thoughts and Prayers don't mean shit in the real world are just people looking to be offended for the thrill of it.

Don't have much time to even give a shit about those people, frankly. Get over yourself. People are being murdered and changing your fucking profile pic means zero.

There are probably people who pay him money that guffaw over faith comments and he's clarifying and tempering their idiotic positions.

If I had "fuck you" money, I'd respond to anyone getting offended with "I'll pray for you."

Fuck all of the T+Pers who will continue to not give a true shit in perpetuity unless it someday affects them. If there was a reset button in Sutherland Springs where people could go back 20 years, give up their guns and avoid today, guess what they do.

Not sure if you're being silly, but I'll give you a straight answer.

He was stationed at Holloman AFB in Alomogordo (I'm at Kirtland in ABQ) and he was kicked out in 2014. I got to my base last February. No overlap or commonality so far as we have "worked in a logistics readiness squadron for the Air Force" in common. I'm still trying to figure out his actual job. (Mine is Logistics Planner. So if you see that, we shared the same career field too.)

Not a joke. I just saw that he was in the Air Force in New Mexico. Didn't say the base, and even if it had, I wouldn't have known it wasn't yours!

BTW, am I the only one who had visions of the church scene in Preacher (the comics) or the one in Kingsmen when I heard about this story?

Aim High! Pardon the pun.

Should church shooter Devin Patrick Kelley have been allowed to buy guns?

CBS News' David Martin confirms that the U.S. Air Force didn't submit the shooter's criminal history to FBI, as required by Pentagon rules. The Air Force said it has launched a review of how the service handled Kelley's criminal records.

Maybe Johnnie can answer this....but how in the fuck can a guy smack around his wife....and beat up a toddler so bad he gets a fractured skull...and serves a year in the Brig (do they call it the Brig in the Air Force?) and NOT get a Dishonorable Discharge? I mean...what else did he have to do?

From what I've read, he got a Bad Conduct Discharge. It was due to the type of court martial he went through. It's still a very, very bad thing.

Dishonorable discharge, I believe are for more severe crimes determined by a higher level of court martial.

The types of court martial are summary, special, and general.
