Pour one out for a favorite tweet of Pens fans. Deleted at some point today after 7+ years.

13 straight hours of Penguins content on NHL Network today, kicking off at 10AM with the 1991 Cup winner.

No prob. Hope they do some intra-conference playoff games so we can hear the "1940!" chant. Miss that one!

Swamp exclusive! Must credit The Sportsfrog.

My BIL went out to pick up a pizza this evening while wearing a Sabres tshirt (just outside of Pittsburgh). Another guy waiting there struck up a conversation with the surefire “my son-in-law used to play for Buffalo.”

Turned out to be Evan Rodrigues’ father-in-law. His injury is not serious, just a sore heel.

That guy is fucking awesome. I use a number of his lines pretty regularly.

He beat him like a rented mule was one of the funniest things I'd ever heard from a broadcaster back in the day.

The longtime Hawks' announcer, Pat Foley, is also hanging it up at the end of the year.

I don't like this.

Maybe the skates fall off in a couple of seasons but I'm OK this morning. Blocking all further responses.

Would feel weird hating him in a different jersey (sweater).

As long as you're committing to Crosby and Letang you kinda have to do this. And also have to go really long on Rickard Rakell, of course.

Really glad 68 is finally getting a big celebration (or agreeing to allow a big celebration, whichever it is).

It mean, it sucks but I really not averse at all to the idea of them trading Sid this summer. Maybe put themselves in a position to trade up for Celebrini.

I don't think the eventual owner of the #1 pick in the draft is giving it up for the Sid's age 37 year and beyond.

Oh yeah, I know. I was thinking with draft picks. There are only 7 teams with less points than them now and by the time this season is over, I wouldn't be surprised if they are in the bottom 5. If Carolina makes the finals, they'll have another (albeit low) 1st rounder and/or whatever picks they may be able to get for Sid.

There's no way to get the #1 unless the team is giving up so much in a known asset/assets its impossible to pass. Like Jack Hughes, not #5 overall + some other stuff.

The Sharks had the 2nd overall pick before they even existed!

30 years ago, we got Patty Falloon. Woo hoo. Celebrini to the Sharks!
