With no longer being bound to the will of my wife, I've decided that I'm no longer partaking in any Easter activities. Why, you ask? Well, I don't think a Bronze Age, Palestinian carpenter rose from the dead, I don't think there's anything virtuous about believing that, and frankly the idea that everyone will be rewarded with eternal bliss for thinking that while everyone who doesn't think that will be eternally tortured is vile and I refuse to lend it any credence.
Anyway, what's a cool tradition I can start doing by myself while everyone else is celebrating their reward for child blood sacrifice? What do you do on Easter, Jews?
Eating leftovers from Friday night seder

If I decide to document and create a memoir somewhere down the road for my new Easter experiences, I have pretty much the most perfect name ever.
You ready?
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
"The World Is My Easter"
Brilliant.

That sounds like the title to a book by Joel Osteen or Franklin Graham. But for your purposes, it's great.

J-Lo, I hope "something" "rises" for you this Easter.

And I'm talking about bread because it's not Easter without fresh-baked bread.
Of course, there's no heaven either, but he can't say THAT.
In a rational world, people who speak with absolute certainty over what happens after we die would immediately suffer some sort of social penalty for it.
The New Democratic Party of manitoba ( major party - was in power until recently), clearly needs a few Jews in its media department.

Okay.
Having bread during Passover is one of the worst things an observant Jew can do. No bread, no pizza, no beer, nothing with yeast. One of the bases of the holiday is that Jews had to flee Egypt so quickly that they didn't have time to have their bread rise. So Matzoh is THE symbol of the 8 day long festival.
So ultimately, this picture would be akin to showing Easter Eggs in a Christmas picture.

Okay, it is official. The Old Testament is the literal truth!

I thought it was because the Jewish mom was focused on her daughter instead of her son.

FIFY. That picture is a shockingly horrible error in judgment.

I think my favorite part of that "article" is that it's from the Science section of Fox News.
I think they spell it "Science."
Oh, and the token skeptic's conclusion is this...
“We won’t know the day or the hour — so we should be prepared at all times!”
No. No we should not.
So it isn't like a sack trick?

I'm not remotely familiar with that term and the Googles only bring up an English comedy band.

If you do a SwampSearch you'll get a thread that was enjoyable to go back and read, but that wasn't the origination of the term, just a reference along the lines of the one AB just made.
Fox News quoting the Daily Express about a numerologist citing a biblical prophecy...

I just re-read that whole old thread. Lots of fun. I should re-read old threads more often.
His “Don’t Stop Believing” became an anthem for a generation, and now it looks like Journey keyboardist Jonathan Cain has put it into practice because he has revived his childhood passion for Jesus.

According to that article, he married an evangelist.
A GIANT evangelist.

Oh, shit, that is Trump's "spiritual advisor." Not surprisingly, she is a conman "prosperity gospel" preacher. How can people fall for a religious doctrine focused on giving your preacher money, and the more money you give your preacher, the better God will treat you? It's fucking insane.

She's the worst. She and her Ex had a megachurch here near the airport and many of the local athletes were members. Fucking charlatan.
