Unpopular opinion: Kimble did it and people indulging his one-armed man story is white privilege.

Watched The Godfather Part 2 for the first time in maybe 30 years...

Good lord, that is a fantastic movie. Not a controversial opinion - of course - but it is a classic.

Amazing movie. I go back and forth, but I think 2 is better than 1, especially all the scenes of young Vito. De Niro was amazing, and Pacino was a force of nature.

BTW, if you haven't caught BlackkKlansmen and you like Spike Lee's work, this is his best since probably 25th Hour at least. And for Swampers, the first laugh-out-loud moment is within the first three minutes.

The choices for Best Actor that year at the Oscars were incredible.

Pacino - Godfather 2
Nicholson - Chinatown
Hoffman - Lenny
(All amazing performances by 3 of the best actors of the era.)

Albert Finney - Murder on the Orient Express
(A definite Hall Of Fame Actor)

Art Carney - Harry & Tonto

Carney won - and while I remember that movie fondly, and he was very good in it... come on!

"A Town Called Panic" is one of the most insane things I have ever seen.

Just over an hour of inspired stop-motion lunacy. Loved it.

Intriguing, but I don't have to retrieve my socks. I mean, I'll probably watch it because it looks like awards bait.

Bale as Cheney has gotten all of the press I’ve seen but Rockwell as GWB is perfect.

We watched 'Solo' the other night. What a disappointment. An origin story for one of the most iconic movie roles ever? And that's what they did with it? Blah...

(that said...the train robbery set piece was great, and Donald Glover shoulda/coulda been awesome as Lando)

The Florida Project was devestatingly awesome but I swear I spent the entire movie waiting for one of the feral kids to be eaten by an alligator.

One of those movies that won’t ever leave you. And I no joke kept waiting for an alligator. Glad it was alligator-free.

Thanks, boys. Probably wouldn't have bothered with this if I didn't see the recommendations. Not a great or powerful movie by any means, but a perfect fun movie to watch on a flight. Way more entertaining than it should have been, and some good laughs. Also watched Isle of Dogs, and that was weird even for Wes Anderson. I liked it, and it was certainly unique, but I feel like I missed a level of it, or something. Like it was an homage to a genre I'm not familiar with, or a play on a Japanese style of storytelling.

I don't want to put you off form it, because I want filmmakers to make movies that aren't just superheroes or remakes, and the only way to do that is to sell tickets. ANd your mileage may vary. I thought maybe it was just because i was tired, but upon reflection this morning I still felt same way.

Its...fine.

Finally saw A Star is Born this afternoon, and really enjoyed it.

A few thoughts:

- Lady Gaga was really good. Granted, it wasn't that big of a reach for her, but she was totally believable.
- Her manager was a total shit-head
- The whole scene at the Grammys wasn't believable. There's no way Bradley Cooper could have made it to the stage without security moving him back stage.
- Bradley Cooper really needs to pump the brakes a bit. C'mon man....it wasn't enough to be super handsome, and be a good actor, but now you have to write, direct, sing, write songs, and play the guitar? Leave some for the rest of us.
- Charlie was a very very good dog...
