This race is begging for a safety car
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
I don't know what they have to lose now by putting him on gardening leave till the end of the season and getting in a replacement. Might do him some good to having time away.

I really thought that Max would have the pace to at least push Lewis and I'm also surprised Valtteri didn't have the pace to push Max

Holy shit
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Zzz apart from the safety car, Pierre Gasly driver of the day I reckon
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Yep. That safety car needed to be a few laps earlier.
I’m enjoying this Renault form though.
Ferrari is gonna finish out of the points at Monza and they’re so bad right now I’ll just feel sorry for them instead of enjoying it.
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Big crash Leclerc, race stopped, Hamilton now with a 10 second stop go penalty, going to an interesting race when it restarts
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Stroll gets to change tires during the red flag, so doesn't have to pit again. His race to lose now.
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
now saying Stroll has to put on same tire type, meaning he will have to pit again. Back to Gasly as the eventual leader.
I think there's gonna be another safety car this race still.
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
After last week he should get a podium

Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Yellow flag and a red flag and they haven't raced a complete lap yet, crazy stuff
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
Good old fashioned shitshow here. Bottas I guess can set the pace to the line but since the line is so far down the straight the back of the pack started racing before the front.
Very dangerous with all that debris flying past people’s heads.

Another red flag
Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
12 drivers warned, that's more than half the field

So Bristol is going to be a dirt track race next spring. Last dirt race was September 1970 when Richard Petty won at the half-mile State Fairgrounds Speedway in Raleigh.

Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)

Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)

The crash was incredibly scary and it's unreal that all he came away with were second degree burns on his hands a few broken toes.
While Stroll is a tool, that was an odd "crash" on that turn. They docked Kyvat 10 seconds for that one.

Yeah, he's been pretty consistent in that spot, but Bottas must be licking his chops.

At this point I'm inclined to believe Hamilton could be the only person every to win a race he doesn't participate in. Sinkhole in turn 2 for +5000 please.Nonlinear FC wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 11:33 am Holy shit. Someone else is going to win a race! Must see TV.

Part of the Mercedes junior program... Still, what a weird sport sometimes.

The fact that F1 is so engineering and engine dominant, I wonder how much better a driver Hamilton is than others. It will be interesting to see how Russell does. The Grand Prix on Amazon prime spent most of the time on the engineering and Honda engine issues.

Russell fastest in first practice, make of that what you will

Re: VVVRROOOMM Auto Racing Thread (NASCAR, F1, etc)
They are introducing some rules next year that will make it closer to F2, where the cars are kept more in line with each other. Going to be very interesting to see how that plays out, as Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull all vastly outspend other teams on the circuit, and it shows in the standings (obviously).wlu_lax6 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 11:51 am The fact that F1 is so engineering and engine dominant, I wonder how much better a driver Hamilton is than others.
