I won because I bet on teams I don't like so there's a silver lining.

Ah, that makes more sense you going to LaSalle and all. I don't care about them one way or the other, but I just had a hunch after the first round that they had a decent shot, especially with MSU out. So I loaded up on the futures bets a little at a time as they rolled through the tournament.

When Paige kicked his legs out, Reggie Miller style, on his shot, and I saw the Ref's arm go up, I thought for sure he was going to get an "and one" to win the game.

Jay Wrights reaction was awesome.

"Bang"....he knew it was in when it left Jenkin's hand.

And the only other Finals buzzer beater I can remember is Lo Charles in '83.

There was still like two or three seconds left on the clock when it went in. Houston just stood around in shock and didn't call TO.

Nah. One second. Nowadays they woulda put some time on the clock, though.

Yeah, that was before they automatically stopped the clock at the end of games, right? I'd call that a buzzer beater considering.

Yeah, splitting hairs to not call that Lorenzo Charles bucket a buzzer beater.

I'm not going to fight about just saying it wasn't an according to Hoyle buzzer-beater. Far as I know this was the first one in a title game, but like I said my knowledge only goes back to the 70s.

Technically, every basket that counts is a buzzer beater.

UConn women are so, so dominant. I wonder how their reserves would do as a stand-alone team in the tournament.
