I really wish someone would ask Schilling "Are you going to pay back the state of Rhode Island?" 500 times a day every day for the rest of his life.

He was a bad manager, but that was obvious a couple of years ago, when a non-bad manager might have made a difference.

That looked horrible, I feared he'd lacerate his liver or do some other internal damage. I hope he is ok.

I am not sure that is possible. W/o serious internal damage/death. That got me thinking, I'll look it up, ask around. (Maybe just not possible for fat fucks like me.)

I had to go re-watch the replay after I saw the quote. And I could see how it happened given the way that his body torqued -- but you're right. I believe the tweet said he was also saying he was lucky he didn't break any bones and as far as I'm concerned, that would refer to the spine vs. the rib/hip.

Not much better for an overworked bullpen than Kershaw getting a start against the Reds.

I'm so furious at Maddon for taking Kyle Hendricks out of the game with two outs in the seventh. He retires 10 in a row, then a guy bunts for a single. Hendricks has only thrown 100 pitches at that point. So Maddon pulls him to put in Strop, who quickly gives up hits and runs and runs.

SOB should be fired.

Is this what being a Yankees fan was like?
Serves me right for being cocky. 4-8 since then, including that doubleheader. They've scored 3 or less in 7 of their last 8 games. Argh.

Arrieta is falling apart today. He has given up 4 runs in 4 innings.

The last time he gave up 4 runs was last June.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

I'm convinced that the Cubs have hit the skids because one of my former law school roommates has decided to move to Chicago. He announced on May 8 that he and his wife are moving there. Cubs are 7-8 since then. He was Mr. Raysfan prior to the move, and showed up to a recent going away party decked out in Cubs gear. I'd be happy to kick him in the nuts for you, as he deserves it for many additional reasons.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

Sorta hoping they blow it just for the extra incentive to kick him square in the nards.
