I think it is very well done. Do I agree with the content, no. But it is a very nice tattoo.

At least they got the stigmata right. And I definitely like the attempt of it. It's not the worst. Though I would like to see someone get a tattoo of Jesus that's not the white guy he's portrayed to be.

I'm sure he got the idea from a search that had one of these pics:

My wife mentioned at dinner she wants another tattoo and I said she should get “{rass} is {freaking} awesome” and she said that getting a SO tattoo isn’t so classy IHHO and she’d get one for the kids or something and I was feeling my first beer and said in front of the kids “not even as a memorial” and she ignored me.

Saw that!

She got one for her dad after he passed. I don't make the cut.

(I feel like I've told this story but don't feel like checking through this thread to verify that but when my FIL was in the service he got drunk one night and got his own name tattooed on his arm)

There's no way I couldn't design something better given 15 minutes and a nice set of markers.

my sobriety date in roman numerals...i'm betting a lot on myself not fucking up and making myself a hypocrite. i did it in roman numerals because i didn't really want it to be instantly recognizable as a date. i like it though, i just hope i don't let myself down.

My newest:

I wanted something that captured the "southwest" since my most impactful assignments have been here. Driving between Arizona and New Mexico numerous times I love seeing the mountains and desert landscape. And more often than not, there are always trains traveling as I do.

So I wrapped it all up in this idea. My artist then made it far better with her ideas (the Santa Fe Chief instead of a locomotive, the oryx skull instead of a longhorn one.) I would've liked a better sunset more resembling the Arizona flag, but placement wouldn't allow it. And yes, green/red chile and a road runner would've been nice too, but that would have been too much/too tacky. The zia as part of the train logo was good enough there.

Also, the artist's idea to include along with the prickly pears. I was just wanting saguaro cacti, but I'm glad I got those too.

Great ink, Johnnie. And the Santa Fe train made me nostalgic. When I was growing up, every Christmas we set up our model train set that was on a plank of plywood. The trains were all Santa Fe. You gave me a good memory on a day I was feeling pretty deflated.

I got my last ink back in the 90s, so I'm itching to get a few more myself.
