I had trouble with that too, and AFTER I sent my response to Carwash, I went and checked the HoF site, and it looks like there are songwriters and maybe producers or label owners there.

ETA - and happily my answer did actually make the HoF.

This is a good question that I should have clarified. No one so far has given an answer like this, so I'll say "no."

Basically, any artist/group inductee from a rock- or rock-derived genre (R&B, soul, rap, etc.) who first became prominent since 1950 or so is what I'm looking for.

Just not my thing. I don't remember the exact reason but I think because I have some big gaps (like college football since the 80s and pro football since the 90s) that caused me to lose badly and feel dumb. I do enjoy it as a spectator.

Most regular players have gaps like that in one area or another. Things usually even themselves out across the board unless you are Ryan or wlulax.
