He was always a scumbag for the simple fact he paid no attention to the dispatcher telling him to wait for the cops to show up and investigate. This man is a disgusting human being. And the rules of Florida allowed him to be "right" when he was clearly so wrong.

Isn't the problem they know exactly what it was and are still on Team Zimmerman?

A buyer immediately turning it on its seller might shatter the "I know this is technically wrong, but ..." scale.

At the very least, he is a shit human being. Even if you accept his unlikely version of what happened the night of the killing, how amazingly insensitive and crass is it for him to do this, now? smdh

He needs to fund his legal bills for all of the other indictments on violent crimes.

I was with Syb until I read the article on CNN that described his quotes and how it was posted on the site.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/13/us/george ... index.html
"I recently received it back from the Department of Justice," he said. "They took it after my trial, after I was exonerated."
Zimmerman told the station he has had death threats since he put the gun up for sale.
"What I've decided to do is not cower," he said. "I'm a free American. I can do what I want with my possessions."
In posting the weapon for auction, Zimmerman described the weapon as a "piece of American History."
"The firearm for sale is the firearm that was used to defend my life and end the brutal attack from Trayvon Martin on 2/26/2012," Zimmerman apparently wrote in the posts.
Zimmerman said museums such as the Smithsonian Institution have "expressed interest in owning and displaying the firearm."
But the Washington-based Smithsonian denied it has any interest in the weapon.
"We have never expressed interest in collecting George Zimmerman's firearm, and have no plans to ever collect or display it in any museums," it said in a statement

Agreed. But you'd never admit it publicly, otherwise you'd lose all of that business.

If you want to know how shitty One America news is they cooked up a fake poll yesterday that had Trump losing by two points and he retweeted it. That's how fucked he is. Right wing nut job polls still have him down.

I cringed at that, and the guy felt bad afterwards. She looked so damned crushed, but recovered nicely. Lawrence Wilkerson is phenomenal. He was Colin Powell's right hand man, and came out blazing after Bush/Cheney setup Powell. He was a lifelong Republican, but exposed a lot of the shit Cheney pulled make the fraudulent case for going into Iraq. Also seen him on Maher before and other shows. He is a no bullshit guy, extremely intelligent and fucking hilarious.

My buddy in Tucson works at a gun store/range. He took this:

Cross draw over a fat belly with no magazine loaded. Seems legit.

Johnnie, sounds like you and your gun buddy need to learn a bit more about firearms. He's sporting the classic upside-down right handed draw where he simultaneously uses his left hand to jam the magazine into the (upside-down) gun, pulling the trigger the instant it's in. Pretty common setup, really.

Not that it's any less moronic, but isn't it required to empty your sidearm before entering a gun store/range where you're at? The way I'm seeing it, a picture of a magazine-less pistol really only makes sense if he's in a gun store.

Cross draw is moronic and he's likely still an idiot. She's a babyglock too, ain't she? Trumphands?

Yeah, it's pretty much always no loaded weapons in a gun store. And that's a pretty common size for a concealed carry, no? Don't want the desert eagle giving yourself away.

I'm just thinking on a logical level for me. I've got bigger hands and a weapon that small, no matter how concealable is not going to be of much use. Last I knew, Glocks come in full size, compact, and subcompact(babyglock). Compact is the smallest thing I can get my mitts around with any notion of control. The idea of a cross-draw with something that small puzzles me even further. That is juuuust north of too big to put on your ankle.

Yeah I don't know enough to say one way or the other what kind of gun it is, but the people I know who have their concealed carry have smaller guns than what you think of as a "handgun" like you see in them there gangster rap video movies. /oldmanalert

And maybe he has cankles!

You can buy extended magazines for subcompact pistols so you can get all three bottom fingers on the grip. It makes a huge difference for accuracy.

Not in Arizona as long as it's holstered, IIRC. It's an open carry with conceal carry without a license state like Vermont and Alaska, so even in a gun range you're good.

But I do get your point. Every time I went in there my guns were in a case, magazine removed, and I did nothing until I went to my lane.

That's actually pretty nice looking, but I'm having trouble figuring out which brand it is. If I won that, the MARPAT desert collapsible buttstock would immediately GTFO though.

But I don't understand the hoopla. We give away plenty of firearms in raffles and things of that nature. Dude is trying to raise money for his campaign, so it makes sense. People act like the guy donating $50 is going on a shooting spree once he buys it.

If the problem is America's love of firearms, different story. If the problem is "ooh how can a potential governor sponsor such a raffle item?" and you are an American, then it seems like you need to take the time to understand instead of having bad feelings and complaining.
