That's a $10k 50 cal. sniper rifle. A round costs $5. It's also heavy and not easy to lug around.

Would've been hilarious if he was beaten up and had the thing stolen.

A dog, a shotgun, and a high powered flashlight. Plus a home system plugged into the local authorities to sound the alarm to them.

So yeah, NOT a 50 cal sniper rifle. Not even a feasible competitive shooting rifle either because rounds are expensive. That's like a gun you'd pay money to a local range for novelty shooting to say you've done it.

I also can't figure out why so many of them were wearing knee guards. Were they planning on laying some tile on the way home?

You’ve obviously never tried to suck a cock in a back alley in the middle of winter. Well I have and would have killed for some knee pads.

Well, it's a good thing you weren't armed at the time.

Meanwhile, last Friday night a teenager murdered four people in one family in a town near here. It didn't even make a ripple.

Interesting given that masks get "other people" arrested at protests all the time.

10 or 15 years ago, a scene like this would have made me think we were in a civil war or under terrorist attacks. Now? Just another example of incel idiots pushing boundaries, and it doesn't even move the needle.

Says something (bad) about the country when a mass shooting of 5 people (Molson Coors Shooting in Milwaukee: What We Know) barely makes a ripple anymore.

Yup. Republicans won. I heard the news, shrugged my shoulders and thought I've given up caring anymore, because nothing is going to change.

If nothing gets done after 20 six-year-olds being massacred in their classroom or 58 people by a single gunman at a concert in Las Vegas, nothing is ever going to get done.

Cynical me thinks only if it's their owners who start getting got, then sure.

I was living in Tucson, Arizona when Gabby Giffords was almost murdered and she was immediately an 'enemy' once her opinion changed. Up to that point? An actual pro-gun Democrat despite the flyer Palin put out with targets on the names of House members that needed to be voted out.

Flashback to 2008:
Mr. Obama sought to explain his remarks at a recent San Francisco fund-raiser that small-town Pennsylvania voters, bitter over their economic circumstances, “cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them” as a way to explain their frustrations.

Pennsylvania is a Northeastern city in the south east, a rust belt city in the south west, and Alabama with different accents everywhere else.

Everytime I drive through western Pennsylvania on the way to DC, I pray that the car doesn't break down.

You probably heard about the horrific events in rural Nova Scotia last weekend - 23 dead, worst rampage in Canadian history.

What you probably don't know is how badly the RCMP (which serves as the police in small towns and rural areas in most of Canada) screwed things up. And not for the first time either...

Hours passed before RCMP told public he was disguised as one of them

Yeah, I've been following this story. Some people would not have died if they had been told to stay inside.
