June baseball

I am at Camden - holy hell Mookie Betts is hot. Two home runs in first two at bats tonight after three last night.

Also, there may be a brawl in this one.

Field only. It's middle aged dad civil out in left field at moment.

Also, mustard won the condiment race tonight.

Do they let Old Bay Seasoning race?

They do not! Only ketchup, mustard and relish.

Also, I would be as effective as the pitchers for the Sox and Os have been tonight.

Hi, I'm BFJ with an annual public service announcement. Please remember to wash your hands thoroughly after having Old Bay on your hands if you plan on being with your wife/gf/hook up/yourself (hi Moreta). It is not compatible with inner parts. We now return you to your baseball thread.

Matt Albers had not gotten a major league at bat since 2009. Doubles, goes to 3rd on a wild pitch, and sac fly run as the winning run. Then pitches the bottom half of the 13th.

The best part is when he uses the other team's SS to keep himself from falling over after getting to 2nd.

Owner needs to speak up again. Padres give up 9 in the 7th (including 7 consecutive 2 out hits) and lose 16-13.

From a purely selfish perspective I hope the Padres never get good. My hookup for free tickets would go away. When you factor in location, beer and stadia Petco Park is the best place in America to watch a baseball game.

My favorite part about the Bumgarner home run highlight is realizing that they could have demolished Turner Field at that moment and only killed about 250 people

Also, that Yankees DP in the 9th was ridiculous.

Also, I can't figure out how to embed MLB.com videos

It cracks me up that Jake Peavy's eyesight is so poor, he has trouble seeing the catcher's signals. And he got a hit last week.

A month in the minors wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for him. Only problem is that the Royals have no one (Dillon Gee!) to promote in his place.

Zero research, I'm pretty confident Kelly Johnson just pulled a MLB first by being traded from Team A to Team B in consecutive seasons.

I saw him tie the MLB record with three sacrifice flies in a game.

This is my favorite Yankee first rounder in forever (profile knowledge only, of course). Maybe since Cole, just because Judge seemed pretty risky as a very unfinished college corner.

The one I saw which I assume to be his MAX max projection is a CF capable Christian Yelich. That's a top ~10 player in the league if it happens. The other main one is Steve Finley, but Finley was a 30+ HR guy in the middle of his career and no write-up I saw on Moniak has him at more than 50 future power.

Yup!

And then Wentz goes to the Braves, which kind of stinks now, but he's not an immediate impact player anyway.
