Bastard Bowl for me. If the NBA is interesting, I'll pick it up at 10 or so.
I felt aswirl with warm secretions.

I'm watching the Money in the Bank PPV on the WWE Network.
THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH GALA LUNCHEONS, LAD!
Re: Your numero uno viewing interest this evening
And I'm "borrowing" HBO from my parents, so no PPV for me.

Game 7.
I do not have HBO Go/cable, so I can't watch GoT live. (And I have never watched it live for that matter anyhow.) I could borrow someone's account, but nah. A friend and I watch it the following day as a thing.
But, I do have a friend's cable info so I can watch Game 7 on WatchESPN.

Cubs-Pirates. Listening to the radio broadcast while sitting on the back deck drinking beer.

The Finals were on ABC; no antenna?Johnnie wrote:Game 7.

Re: Your numero uno viewing interest this evening
Ya know...I'm so entrenched in the last 4 years being overseas, I completely forgot about over the air channels in America. My tv is a "world" tv (both NTSC & PAL signals), but I never bothered to check if it has a built in antenna that I can pick up everything just because. Man, I feel dumb.Brontoburglar wrote:The Finals were on ABC; no antenna?Johnnie wrote:Game 7.

I thought they changed the broadcast waves so you couldn't pick them up with antennas anymore.Brontoburglar wrote:The Finals were on ABC; no antenna?Johnnie wrote:Game 7.

So I caught 5 minutes of the game while at the gym. I just assumed Kevin Love was black. Weird. I couldn't find the surprised by a persons race thread, and didn't feel like making a new one.

He's been in the league for 8 years. This is absolutely baffling. You've literally never saw what the dude has looked like? At all? Even at UCLA? That's incredible. The Sybian wrote:So I caught 5 minutes of the game while at the gym. I just assumed Kevin Love was black. Weird. You have to have an HD antenna. But they work great. The Sybian wrote:I thought they changed the broadcast waves so you couldn't pick them up with antennas anymore.Brontoburglar wrote:The Finals were on ABC; no antenna?Johnnie wrote:Game 7.

Re: Your numero uno viewing interest this evening
I haven't watched an NBA game since the 1999 Finals. Less than no interest in watching basketball, NBA or NCAA. The NBA is incredibly easy to avoid, especially being in the greater NY area with the Knicks sucking for so long. I've heard the name, I think related to a big trade, but I didn't know anything else about him. The game was on in the front of my gym with the volume on, so I was watching while waiting to scan in. Heard the name, surprised to see a white guy. Outside of the occasions when Sports Center is on at the gym, I've never seen LeBron play. I saw a bunch of his highlights when he was at Miami, but I don't think I've seen him at all since going back to Cleveland. I've probably seen highlights with Kevin Love, but from a distance with no sound, didn't know or care who the white guy was.Johnnie wrote:He's been in the league for 8 years. Outside of this board, the only sport I read about is soccer, so I don't see any NBA news. I don't watch any sports news/highlight shows, and Love isn't in commercials (that I've seen) or dating a Kardashian putting him on tabloid covers, so yeah, really easy to not know what he looks like.
ETA: The last UCLA game I recall seeing is the tournament with the O'Bannon brothers. If not for a GPJ shoutout, I probably wouldn't have remembered the name.

Love is the teenage with the huge head and beard in the insurance commercials with Garnett, Howard, Paul and DeAndre Jordan. Or the only white guy besides the insurance agent.

Or the massive lawsuit that's changing (and could continue to change) the way college sports are structured? The Sybian wrote:

Oh, yeah. Either the Daily Show or John Oliver or someone else did a piece on that. What happened with that case?Brontoburglar wrote:Or the massive lawsuit that's changing (and could continue to change) the way college sports are structured? The Sybian wrote:
