Well, what were the results? I drink milk past the sell by date, as long as it smells fine. Recently had some trouble with eggs, though. Eggs are supposed to be good for 5 weeks past the date. I recently started to fry up an egg, and the smell when I cracked it was horrific. A bit of the inside slid onto the pan, but I saw the rest inside the shell. It was black, and somewhat shaped like a tiny chick. Totally could have been my imagination, and I hope that isn't possible, but a Rorschach thing. A while back, there was a bad smell in the fridge. I tracked it down to an egg carton. One of the eggshells had a fracture line, but wasn't open. It sounded like alka-seltzer inside, and smelled horrific.

Just cracked open a single-serve yogurt container that's 2 weeks past its exp date. So far so good.

I bought chicken last Friday to grill on Sunday. Never had an issue with the freeze by/sell by date being in the past, so didn't bother to look since I knew I'd be cooking it that weekend. For some reason I checked on Saturday and realized the date was the day before I bought it. Took that shit back immediately!

Was that the "sell by" date, or the expiration date? Often they are two different things. While I wouldn't take any chances with chicken, there are lots of other things that are good well past the "sell by" date.

At one of the grocery chains here, they mark their meat "freeze by/sell by".

It was homemade, and has only been out for about 24 hours. I'll even throw out the bowl for you if you want to finish it off. Hit me up via PM.

The crumbs are the best part. Do you have a straw?

Straw sold separately.

Cheerios? Why?

Chex mix isn't a thing up here (Chex cereal just introduced a year or two ago).

Instead we have Bits N' Bites. Soaked in salt and worcestershire sauce.

So you really thought I would include the meaning in a question asking for the meaning? I get no respect. SMDH.

Sorry. After we established how bad the parents of teens are at acronyms yesterday, I just wasn't sure...
