My wife felt it. I did not. I had to go to the innerwebs to confirm my wife's claim that we actually had one.

The office didn't close so I requested to work from home. I'm more useful clearing the sidewalks at home then going into work.

I find it a little amusing that the forecasted highs for the next two days are in the 60's while my daughter is on "Winter Break" from school (I think it is an attempt to play the odds and try to avoid excess snow days leading to makeup days at the end of the year - they also have a week for spring break in April and end up in school until almost Father's Day).

The fact that my wife is taking her skiing the next couple days is just the cherry on top.

Some major flooding up this way. The 12+ inches of snow started melting last week with the help of some heavy rain. And now more rain. Had around 5 inches of rain Tuesday. All the rivers are hitting record high levels, or have exceeded them. Schools have been canceled the past two days, along with missing days last week for the heavy snowfall. This has been a crazy February.

Now all we need is a deep freeze with the rivers up to turn South Bend into Icetown once and for all.

2nd day this season I'm stuck in the lodge because lifts are shut down. 80 mph winds! I'm no weather guy but I imagine it has to do with the drastic temperature fluctuations we're seeing this winter.

1 inch = 2.5 centimeters.

Just read about the east coast - I'm not going to complain about tonight's storm here.

Got about 1.5 inches of rain yesterday, and then got about 4 inches of a very wet and heavy snow last night. Considering how windy it was, I'm very surprised I don't see any downed tree branches.

At least it will be sunny for the next three days, which will be a very welcome change to the gray we've had ever since the Browns season started.

Talked the coach out of playing a soccer game tonight (which was going to be a split/intra squad anyway) and we lost power about 10 minutes later.

Rick Hall passed away a couple of weeks ago. For those that haven't watched it, the Muscle Shoals documentary is great. Keith Richards is fuckin hilarious.

City had 16.7 inches of snow yesterday, our suburb may have gotten a little more.

Oddly, I have been in Syracuse for the four heaviest snowfall days during the month of March.

Have friends down here who were planning on driving up there yesterday for today’s game. They cancelled the trip.

Holy shit. What a beautiful fucking mess this part of Jersey is this morning.

I stayed at work until a little after 1PM yesterday, and the snow had just started to stick. It stopped snowing by maybe 8 or 9 last night. Between that time over a foot of snow fell in the town where I work. I think we maxed out at less than half of that at home. The number of trees and branches I saw on the ground this morning on my way in was post-Sandy-esque.

We have power but across the street is out, as is a lot of the town from what I can tell. And trees and huge limbs everywhere. "A mess", some might say.

We went from 7:45PM, to 3AM, to who knows what, to power at 8AM.

We lost power for an hour or so during last Friday's storm, but when ours came back everyone across the street stayed dark. They were originally told midnight Sunday, but it was back mid-afternoon Saturday.
