I had all sorts of issues with my 15-year-old snowblower last year but simply replacing the spark plug took care of it. I checked it two days ago and it started on the second pull.

left there at 7, went to Penn Station
immediately got on the delayed 647
sat on tracks until 745
waked in to my house at 905

usual commute is 1:15.. this one took 2;05. not bad

transit and roads definitely not prepared.

Well the back yard full of leaves that I was going to rake this weekend is under 3 inches of wet snow.

So there's that bit of good news.

If not, it should be. Best bar in NYC, and you can buy Other Half cans to go!!!

Wife's commute is usually 20-30 minutes, took her more 3.5 hours. She about half a mile from home (Snyder Ave), and that took 40 minutes because of all the idiots trying to make a left that is impossible under normal circumstances at rush hour.

Couldn't get the snowblower going either. Expected 3-5 inches, so I wasn't concerned, but we had at least 8. Then it rained, so a thick layer of slush covered the driveway, and the plow left a waist high wall that turned solid in the freezing rain. I spent three hours in the morning getting all the leaves off my lawn and out of the street, knowing they'd plow them into my lawn, to spend 2 hours shoveling and wake up to haul shovels of slush. Fuck this, I'm done with winter.

If haymaker were out here I’d be thrilled and then stop in for one (1) beer every other week and once per quarter have a real night there. #suburbandad

Yeah, I've only been to Twin Elephant 5 or 6 times, and my inlaws live in Chatham... Stirling Hotel has great beers (and food), and I haven't been in almost a year. SH even has the benefit of being a great restaurant to take kids, and my wife likes it. Need to go more often.

Winter's been pretty smooth so far this year.

This weekend will see temperatures as low as -10 and windchills of -30 (fahrenheit).

Could also get 8 inches of snow on Saturday. I'd best go shopping today...

Headed to Des Moines today to see my sister and her family. Five inches of snow on the ground already and expecting 8 or so more today. Had to move up our flights to #beattheblizzard2019

Two days ago, the forecast called for 12-16 inches of snow. Now it's down to 5-8 inches. I'm disappointed.

there was a multi-day freakout here about the weather with snow tonight/tomorrow and single-digit temps for the game. now it's maybe a couple inches of snow and temps around 20 for the game.

5 inches of snow the other day.

40 degrees and rain yesterday.

Temperature currently plummeting - this city is becoming a skating rink.

2 months until spring...

Sorry man. But, we all suffer. My scheduled golf game this week might be affected by a mild rain shower.

We were supposed to get "snow showers" got 6+ inches this morning. My normal 20-minute commute took 3 hours.

Funny how people in CO can drive to Vail every weekend but forget how to drive in snow if it's to or from work.

The Upper Midwest, or as Canadians call it, that place south of us.

But who cares about them and their unhelpful temperature measurements. Oh god, it’s going to be -10! Is that warm or cold, I don’t know. I just know it’s very different from -11.

Still remember 25 years ago this month my sophomore year of college when they cancelled classes because temps were -20 with -45 wind chill. That’s cold.

Speaking of cross-threads, the weather got me out of jury duty tomorrow. Threat of 1 inch of snow tomorrow plus the threat of looking like a bunch of Gomers during Super Bowl week caused everything in metro Atlanta to close, including the courts.
