Thanks. That and the shot in the dark on the hockey question (working for an AHL team for two seasons helped).
The one bad mistake I made was when I switched from cholera to SARS. That cost me something like 14 points. Wouldn't have mattered though. I couldn't hold up to your arcane hockey knowledge!
I'll look up how John Ford didn't get as many Academy nominations as he deserved. Stagecoach. Silent Man. Grapes of Wrath. Liberty Valence. Searchers. Was he so old that some of his great work actually preceded the Academy Awards? Man, I thought this was such a great answer. And it was -- only one other person got it.

I forgot about Jaworski as a Ram. To me, he's only an Eagle. I answered Craig Morton, because I generally go for the oldest option I can think of, figuring that only DC and Howard are likely to be there with me.
When I was a kid - and I mean like 6 years old and up - we used to go to Maple Leaf Gardens and see the Marlies play. That was when the Ontario Hockey League was all junior farm teams of the NHL teams. Still have a few autographed programs. Just about anyone who made the Maple Leafs from the 50s to the mid-70s played on that team.

Darn. I thought I was the only one with that go-to strategy. Hence John Ford as the star movie director instead of one of those whipper-snappers like Coppola, Scorcese, or Spielberg.
And on the QB question I forgot about Morton completely and fell back to Montana, hoping that by now his second act in some minor market had somehow been forgotten by the youth of America. Guess this clever move was hurt a bit due to him probably being the greatest quarterback of all time.
