Jeeves needs office supplies

Post by BSF21 »

Any of you cats in charge of promo stuff for work or run a small business?

I'm in the market to get some promotional scratch pads made up for my company. Just our logo and contact info, maybe the lines we represent. Anyone ever gone and done this before? Better to do it at a local place? Anyone used a website for this? We get our business cards through vistaprint but I'm not real thrilled with their notepad packages. Any thoughts helpful. Trying to get a plan together soon to get this done up.

Well, normally I would have suggested VistaPrint. If you go through just about anyone else like a custom printing shop I don't think you're going to be happy with the prices. Printing is like making drugs. The first one is expensive and the rest are cheap so the more you order the better off you are.

That said, can't hurt to get a quote from a small, local printer. At least it'll give you a ballpark on if you think it'll be worth it or not.

We use local shops for all but our biggest orders. Maybe it's just tradition and we could likely save money by doing it otherwise, but we have 3-4 local shops that we have always used for this, furniture, signage, etc. I guess it's being a good neighbor.
