Man, that sucks. He was legitimately talented. Pneumonia, reported. A common side-effect of HIV infection, FWIW.

I vividly remember walking to the record store, back when it was mainly cassettes, and picking up Music from the Edge of Heaven.

Are we going to do this for every moderately successful pop star? ("we" being society at large, not just the Swamp)

Is there a "this" this time that is unexpected or unprecedented?

I guess to someone else's point, I hadn't listened to Faith as a whole for years. I did a couple of times this week, and that's a pretty great pop album.

Most years George Michael would be the biggest non-old age musical death.

Maybe it's just the ease of Facebook, Twitter, etc., but it seems to me that we go overboard "mourning" the deaths of every moderately famous celebrity. Perhaps it was just my circle, but I'm guessing most Swampers actively mocked Michael and Wham! when they were popular in the 80s.

That said, maybe I'm just being a curmudgeon. Mourn on!

I remember when this debuted. I was 9. I turned to my dad and said "I want Tyra." He approved. However, looking back, the correct answer was Nadia.

In April of 1964, The Beatles had five of their songs in positions one through five on the Billboard chart. And 7 additional songs also in the top 100.

That's a good joke, Rass.

Really enjoyed the Netflix Wham doc. Did not know about their rap background
