Kid #1 has a track meet on Staten Island on Sunday. She had one there a couple of weeks ago and we didn't get out of there until 3. I would have much preferred a Saturday night game and a hungover drive on Sunday AM. I don't even think they had wifi!

Raider fans have been insufferable this season, and I really really enjoyed seeing the Broncos thump them in a game that most thought would matter greatly to Oakland and not at all to Denver.

I feel bad for Derek Carr, but I think this shows that they really aren't much of a team without him.

The kid's track meet has been moved to Manhattan, so now it's a bigger pain in the ass to get to and either much more difficult or much more expensive to park. Plus it starts at 1PM instead of 9AM so I'm likely going to miss the GB/NYG game, too. Though this place will have wifi, at least. Dammit.

Do you have the ability to watch tv on your phone legally like from a particular service (DirecTV..etc)? If not and you have an Android, put Kodi on it and the add on Sports Devil. Easy peasy.

Miss it because I'll be in the arena from 1 until like 6 or 7. I do have Directv. I have to look into that, or at least finding a radio feed.

Verizon has an NFL Mobile app. Looks promising?

Can't tell, might need NFL Gamepass. Both Gamepass and TuneIn Premium have free 7 day trials, and should have the radio broadcasts. May just go that route.

That might be your in then. About 5 years ago they had a cracked .apk (android application file) of NFL Mobile that I used to watch games, so since it's exclusive to Verizon and legit, you should be golden. Definitely look into that.

For some reason, I feel like I have to bet these games.

Connor Cook has never not covered as a starter in a playoff game, so I bet a couple bucks on the Raiders, and something about the Steelers made me (probably foolishly) lay 10 points.

I was at that game. Ken Stabler was playing for the wrong team. Lester Hayes picked him twice (had to look it up). I thought Earl Campbell was gonna run wild. Turned into a fun day. Those are my two fav football logos.

Surprisingly, one of my kids, who expect the internet to be available everywhere and that every screen is a touch screen, reminded me that I have a tiny portable AM/FM radio and can just bring that and listen to the game that way. Charging it now!

I was able to watch last night's games via the Verizon NFL Mobile app, but no radio. I'm just figuring an audio stream might be more reliable.
