(Yes, there really is a Saginaw Sugar Beets -- a new summer league team. Sugar beets are also a popular crop in mid-Michigan.

For those who have enjoyed this... OOTP 18 is in the low tier ($1+) right now as part of the current Humble Bundle. (with Rebuild 3 and Simple Planes). If you don't know Humble Bundle, you get big discounts on games (slightly out of date), ebooks (usually tech), and such. It is a tiered pay what you want model with supports a charity. Right now it is Doctor's without Borders.

Bumping to wrap up a few things before closing out this year's business.

What do we think about consolidating our departing players on one other team? Got a few responses, but the discussion kind of tailed off. If we do so, what would be the best place?

- A team in the same division, to establish a regular rivalry
- Another division in the same conference, so they can compete on their own while still playing each other occasionally
- The other conference (Shrew), which would mean rare regular-season meetings, but more drama if they meet in the World Series

I was also thinking about moving a few other players to the hypothetical second team, to balance things out and give everyone more playing time. Here's who I was thinking of moving:

- rass or Giff
- P.D.X.
- Rams Fanny
- Rush or chedda

If you don't want to change teams, or aren't on this list and want to move, let me know. The spare spots on the teams would be filled out with other Swampers.
