The MLB home run leader runs as fast as Adam Eaton and Ben Revere. And Aaron Judge runs faster than Jean Segura.

Tulowitzki looks like the only up-the-middle-but-not-a-catcher guy in the bottom 75 or so. Cano is the 2nd slowest.

I knew Bradley Zimmer was fast, but I didn't realize he was *that* fast.

the Nats are 8.5 up in the division. And yet they have internal squabbles about their bullpen. Add that to their inability to clearly lock up Dusty Baker just makes you wonder sometimes. Just hope they don't end up having a repeat of the Jim Riggleman experience (but that was fun for sports radio) https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc- ... 5bedce4bcb

Yeah, oops. MIggy's time was short anyway, but damn.

Still, I will always have a place in my heart for him after last fall.

I just assumed he was hitting as little or worse as last year. But wrong, he was having one of his best ever seasons batting. Makes the DFA sting that much more, but he has a ring and a place in cub fans (and Steve's) hearts.

ON the anniversary of Moonlight Graham playing right field but never batting, no less.

The HR Derby and All-Star festivities are pretty stupid and all that ... BUT, its pretty cool watching something that's never really happened before. Especially now is when a trade proposal registry would be a lot of fun.

Surely someone somewhere on the Internet has done some kind of Arrested Development "My name is Judge" mashup/meme.

And WetButt23 has already been outed on twitter as kinda anti-Jewish. This is already the most online story possible and its under 24 hours.

Also, I hate the trade for the Cubs. I really like Quintana but Jimenez falls under that "the kind of prospect you can't just get back" umbrella. Second tmie in two years they've done this and we all know how last year worked out.

I don't know if panic is the right word, given that their pitching long term is a bit rough and Quintana fills that need until 2020, just more surprised at the valuation. I thought he'd draw a mid-top prospect plus, not a top-top.

Right. Which makes it seem like a panic to give up so much.

After a 108 year drought you'd think fans might give them a pass on a bad year. Their window is almost infinite. Why trade off such good assets?

Someone please explain the spongebob lower/cap meme to an old man.

Also, machado is obviously the play for the Yankees now even if Harper wins six mvps this offseason.

A waiver deal would probably be more likely if things are looking bad. Gonzalez/Bregman or the inverse leaves them better off on the left side than 2/3(?) of teams anyway.

The forecast of "The Tigers will become the Phillies in a few years" from a few years ago is true and shitty fire sale trades like sending out J.D. Martinez as they did yesterday won't help them pull out of the nosedive anytime soon.

Yeah. Sure am glad I broke my longstanding rule against personalized jerseys.

Hell, I even sponsored his page at B-R when he came up. So of course it's going to turn out that he's a scumbag.

For now, I'm holding onto the belief that he's young and stupid, that everyone does bad things, and that he can learn and grow.
I thought so!
